I am not a Pratt voter, or a conservative; but this makes absolute sense for that group of voters. It’s realistic and objective. I wouldn’t call Raman a communist. She’s not. But she is definitively more left than Bass, more aligned with DSA ideology, will shift the entire city govt further, and would be poised to do so for eight years. Everyone that doesn’t vote because they don’t love the alternative IS helping get her elected. Spencer is mad because he was insulted by Bass on a podcast, and undoubtedly still upset about his house burning down. But perhaps, for voters as a whole, it’s FAR more important and impactful to vote for the person that conflicts less with one’s goals for the city, AND makes it more likely to make for a different, more favorable result in the 2028 election. If one can’t say that they believe that Raman will be the better mayor, they should be voting for Bass. Not voting, or writing in Pratt, IS an action. Those that do either directly help Raman get elected.

It’s wide open, not because they’re any good, but because they’re what’s left. It’s more though that I respect Bass in her old school style establishment ways. She’s involved as hell in those communities.
