Brutal way for a game to end. How can Camden play for a championship they didn't earn? Manasquan played great.

This coach GETS IT! His district should be very proud of his response to terrible officiating decision. And especially loved his comments about his seniors.

Shouldn’t the “winning” team do the right thing and step aside? That would be a learning growth moment for everyone involved.

@ShoreSportsNet You can clearly see that the ball is in the air with time left on the clock. Shame on the officials who did this! Where is the NJSIAA? It’s not the only game with shameful officiating! Watch the RBR game last Saturday.

Perfect response! Clearly he’s a good man. But time to bring shot clock into Jersey basketball. Holding the ball to limit the other team’s possessions while not scoring is terrible for the game. PLAY basketball.

Camden coach Maalik Wyans spoke to the media after the Panthers Group 2 state championship win at Rutgers over Newark Arts. It's his first public comment since the state semifinal controversy that saw Manasquan have the game-winning shot waved off. "I understand Manasquan's pain. I played sports before I was a coach. I understand the frustration. All we can do is control what we control." Camden beat Arts of Newark 69-50 to win the Group 2 state title.

Remember the viral video last year of the refs completely blowing a call on the game winning basket in the NJ high school basketball semifinal between Manasquan and Camden? The same two teams played in the same game yesterday and the same kid who had his shot called off one year ago once again hit the game winner and left no doubt.

Fran Brown has a policy that his players must save 40% of their NIL checks. "There's no way, as a coach, that I'm going to pay you a lot of money, and then you're going to walk away from here with no money." Worst Loss of Wladimir Klitschko’s Career 😱🥊 Hanover, Germany. Preussag Arena. Corrie Sanders walked in as a huge underdog, and destroyed the “Next Big Thing” in under two rounds. Four knockdowns. Wladimir had no answer for that left hand. The referee waved it off as Klitschko was being systematically taken apart. This is the night that almost ended his career before the great reign even began. #Boxing

Ben Stiller says the OG Anunoby tip in was most iconic moment in New York Knicks basketball history: “It’s up there with Willis Reed coming out, you know. And what’s so great about that shot is just kind of embodies everything that is great about OG Anunoby in terms of as a player, right? His you know, his physical ability, his incredible timing, his grace, his desire to win, I just love that guy because he’s just not about anything else than just playing as well as he can and winning. And the grace and beauty of that shot, you know, it’s the hand of God, hand of OG.” (Via Road Trippin’ Show)

WATCH: Former U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz, who was at the Kirk event, says he wants America to know that the last thing Charlie talked about was love and Jesus Christ. Chaffetz was visibly broken...but said this was too important not to share. “I want his wife and the country to know that the last question he took, the last thing he talked about to people in Utah—thousands of people that wanted to come hear him—is that his message was one of the love, of Jesus Christ, of his belief in prayer.” “And he talked about that from his heart.” “And you can feel it.”

Nikola Jokic says his goal after basketball is for everyone to forget he ever played so his kids remember him as a dad "I really, when I finish my career, I really wish nobody knows me. And I really wish my kid, or kids in the future, really remember me as a dad, not as a basketball player." "That's going to be my goal in life... Just to live in the moment, be a normal person. Go drink with your buddy, go have lunch, go play with the kid, go drive horses and nobody's going to make a big deal of that."

NBA star Donovan Mitchell opens up about how GRATEFUL he is for his wife Coco Jones, revealing that giving his heart to her was the SCARIEST thing he’s ever done because he never thought he would love a woman as much as he loves basketball ❤️🙌 “It’s probably the scariest thing I’ve ever done. Cause I never thought it was possible, outside of my Mom, sister, & Pops, to love somebody as much as I love the game of basketball… When she came into my life and she became a priority, now I’m sitting here like ‘I don’t want to be without this person.’”

Jaylen Brown said at his Bloomberg event last night that this is probably the most focused he has been on basketball in his career. When asked about that after the Celtics’ win over the Raptors tonight, Brown, normally hands on with his off-court ventures, discussed the value of building a team he can trust. “I’ve been able to develop my team outside of basketball, where I have people that I can delegate to, that I can focus on everything else.” “Now, I’ve been able to assemble a team that I trust. So I can let them do that, and I can just focus on basketball, on the season.”

A reporter asked a basketball coach why he allowed his star player to miss a playoff semifinal. The coach asked the reporter if he had children. The reporter said no. The coach said: “When you have kids, youngster, you’ll understand.” In May 2017, Augusto Lima, a 25 year old Brazilian centre playing for Žalgiris Kaunas in the Lithuanian Basketball League, missed a semifinal match because his first daughter, Alba, was being born. His coach, Šarūnas Jasikevičius, a Lithuanian basketball legend and father of two, gave him permission to go. Žalgiris won the game without him. At the press conference afterwards, a reporter kept pressing Jasikevičius about the decision. The coach replied: “Nothing can be more majestic in the world than the birth of a child. Not titles, not anything else. Augusto Lima is now in heaven emotionally. I’m really happy for him.” Lima later wrote: “There are a lot of people and a lot of coaches, but this man is so great, both on and off the court. Thanks, coach.”
