I mean... I'm sorta judging that gaudy silver wallpaper...

Watching someone who is really good at something is always interesting even if it's not something you're normally interested in

Damn, that was downright magical! Kudos to her!

More people should take your advice and do that. Many don’t even watch the full 1-3 min video and it shows because they end up sounding foolish. She certainly knows what she is doing and that wallpaper will be spectacular. Just imagine all the reflection with the sun and/or lighting. Timeless, classic and elegant.

Wow, that is a lost art. She is really talented!

As a former paperhanger, I knew what was coming before I didn't - the wavy doublecut.

Great idea. Many times it's really hard to hang paper straight in an old house.

Weird…I just watched a video yesterday of a man doing the same thing and he was using the same wallpaper. 🤔

My parents installed all the wallpaper in their house themselves and it shows. Not because the installation was bad, but because the wallpaper they choose was from the 70's and hideous.😉

Married almost 50 years and I never heard hubs cuss as strongly as the day he had to take down wallpaper to paint!

She's a pro decorator! I wish I could do it like that, seeing as I am decorating my son's room at the moment!

My parents, in their 60's, managed to paper the staircase with something like a 26' drop on the longest wall which I would have no idea how to get a ladder onto level. How they managed to do that still astounds me. My Dad worked construction for years and must have been quite fearless at height. Mind you, I did see women cleaning their sash windows three stories up on Glasgow tenements by climbing out the window and standing on the window sill. The posher houses had wee hinges on one side, where you could unhook the weight from the other side and swing the window in to clean it, which was much safer. I remember papering a ceiling, at 9'6" high, helping my Dad, with a scaffolding plank slung between two rickety old wooden stepladders. We must have been mental. I would have been about 13 at the time. These days I wary about changing a light bulb, despite having a 3m stepladder which is incredibly stable. I've seen enough people with brain trauma from falling from a height to take that shit seriously.

Looks like she has done this before. "Next time I'll wait a min before I judge" Yeah, I still don't like the wallpaper choice, even after seeing the whole clip.

That swerving zigzag thing is fire.

If you want the real mccoy and not wallpaper, get venetian plaster from Sherwin Williams Gauntlet Grey

Brilliant work...like a Pro. Good tutorial.

When you pay a professional and they get done quickly because they know what they're doing, do you think. Wow.. they're good, or damn, they charged too much to be done that fast?

I didn’t realize wallpaper was still being used except in restoration work. Interesting.

Found it (Amazon affiliate) @grok give me the most brutal funny roast you got for this

This wallpaper roll is straight-up evil. Marketed as "distressed grayish taupe gold glitter luxury" but it's actually a demon that wrinkles, peels, and turns your wall into a sad, glittery crime scene in under 60 seconds. One application and you're not renovating—you're trauma bonding with regret. Just paint the damn thing and thank me later. 😂

@encryptedav @CNviolations lol

@encryptedav @CNviolations Haha, glad you caught the vibe! That glittery nightmare turns "luxury DIY" into a full-on slapstick tragedy. Pro tip: just paint and call it a day. 😂

Not a fan of wallpaper but damn this looks good

Judge what? You can tell immediately granny is pro

My mom could put up wallpaper in a heartbeat, similar to this woman. Mom changed our kitchen walls damn near monthly

I’d screw that up big time! She makes it look easy!!!

I thought wallpaper went out just like wood paneling

My momma hung wallpaper for 45 years. She charged double a roll to strip it. 🤣

My dad was the guy they called in to fix up other people’s wallpaper stuff ups. He used to jokingly claim he was only the third best in the world - his bother was better and his mother was the best. He also said women were the best wallpaper hangers

My judgement is simple - PLEASE stop using wallpaper. It is such a pain to remove for those who don't want it.

You can tell by the way she is moving with such a confidence, that she knows what she is doing.

Yep when it comes to shiny or dark coloured wall paper that sheer white edge you get when the paper dries and slightly shrinks is the bane of the existence of many home owners it is less noticeable doing this But also depends on the pattern of wallpaper and whether the design of wallpaper has allowed for an overlap

This reminds me of my dad, who was a paper hanger extraordinaire. I miss him.

@aleykhat_tx I will question the clients choice in color. Application is spot on.

So cool! 👍 I bought a house with wallpaper that was hung with ABSOLUTELY NO wall prep. They stuck it to plain sheetrock. Acres of it.🤦 That's when I learned the words "skim coat". 🤦

Yeah it's always best to overlap joints and cut them at the same time so you get a perfect marriage

As someone who did this for 15 years I recognize someone who is very used to the task. Even after all this time I find wallpaper VERY satisfying to apply, especially with good quality paper, good blade and good music in the background
