Next version of Omarchy will have a delightfully configured Tmux setup out of the box. Many terminals, including Ghostty, have panes and tabs built-in, but let me show you why I've still come to prefer Tmux.

Next version of Omarchy will ship with a micro fork of Chromium that gives us live theme switching! Fantastic job by 👉hjanuschka 👨‍💻🤖 to land this as omarchy-chromium-bin on the AUR. Open source is amazing 😍

I'm open-sourcing tws, the tool I've been using for the last few months to organize my engineering work. I've always been a terminal-first engineer; tmux + nvim has been my default. Then AI coding agents arrived and shifted what I needed from that setup. Running several Claude Code and Codex sessions in parallel, the flat tmux session list stopped being enough. So I built tws to fit how I actually work now. It's built on top of tmux, no reinvented wheel. You keep all of tmux's power and flexibility underneath. On top of that, it gives you: - Threads: an abstract organizational layer above tmux sessions, so related work groups together instead of sitting in a flat list - Notes: quick markdown notes attached to each thread or session, kept right next to your work - Fast switching: fuzzy finding, recent-session jumps, and keyboard-driven navigation between everything - Agents view: every Claude Code / Codex session running across your projects in one place, with the ability to pin the ones you keep coming back to Fully configurable — themes, palette, keybindings — via a TOML file. If tmux + terminal isn't your setup, this probably isn't for you. But if you like working from terminal, you might like it. It's been the core piece of how I work for a while now. Github:

I have fallen in love with Ghostty Terminal. Look at this subtle, but incredibly useful opacity trick you can use to show "focus" when working in multiple panes. Shout out Daniel San who showed me this. What a legend. Ghostty config file: unfocused-split-opacity = 0.55

i don't hate terminals but i hate complexity of tmux/zellij har session management w/ attach/detach rituals + resurrection plugins + naming sessions 🤢 it's a part-time job just to not lose your layout / tabs. burned 40-50 hours trying every multi-agent manager out there, including stuff from my YC-backed friends are actively shipping. forked even some of them but nothing fully clicked to my workflow. turns out all i wanted was already sitting inside one terminal window. vs tmux/zellij: - mouse first, click anything (right click too) - zero shortcuts to memorize (native shortcuts) - custom keybinds if you want them (fully configurable) - rename tabs + spaces inline (⌘+L / ⌘ + K / ⌘ + 1..9) - single window = a lot less RAM / CPU usage - stability and rendering are world-class - ⌘+Q anytime. state saved. re-run it later (even on ssh) and everything's exactly where you left it. no plugins, no two step shortcuts, just works out of box (i've shared my keyboard bindings if you wanna combine with ghostty) then i wired it into ghostty with a custom installer. cmd+t, cmd+n, chrome-style tab cycling and number-jumping, all native. drop-in cmux replacement. finally feels like macos to me. video below. my ⌘-based shortcut installer in reply ☠️

Omarchy is ready! Hyprland + Arch have never been so easy. Everything comes preconfigured, preinstalled, and with six beautiful themes in the box. This is the smoothest, most pleasant operating system I've ever had under my fingers.

I really should listen to my own advice here and get Omarchy Quattro out the door, shouldn't I? It's a lot better, a lot more ambitious, and full of delightful touches. By far and away the best operating system I've ever used.

I don't know why you would, but you could switch to light theme mode via system. In the next version of opencode and on terminals that support DEC private mode 2031 for color scheme updates.

just tried this with chromium, builds (with ccache) are still very throttled unlike the macos terminal. i've been trying to figure out why, but i still can't come to a conclusion left is ghostty and right is macos terminal, both get ccache hits
