The Internet Computer will introduce a cloud engine experience that mirrors what enterprises already know. One click. Your own corner of the cloud. Configured to your needs. Same UX as signing into AWS or Cloudflare — but on the only cloud created by a network. The Internet Computer is becoming enterprise-ready.

Digital sovereignty is now a concern across all major governments, and Pierre Samaties says it produces one demand: a new kind of cloud. Data infrastructure has become a target in modern warfare, so it has to be tamperproof and always-on. It also has to fit a world where AI is not only the best hacker but the best builder of software. The Internet Computer is built for both: applications on a cloud engine, queryable by an agent in real time, with nothing in between. Pierre DFINITY Foundation

Cloud lock-in is the tech industry’s dirty secret. Cloud engines on DFINITY Foundation are about to fix that: → Create an engine on Amazon → Deploy your apps → Move the whole thing to Google — instantly → Or distribute across both for resilience Just like the internet runs across everything, the Internet Computer will too.

Imagine dApps running directly on the internet, no centralized servers needed! 💻✨ 💡 What’s $ICP all about? A blockchain network built for the future of decentralized applications (dApps) 🌍🔗 No central servers, just pure, open internet freedom! The $ICP token powers governance, staking, and computation through "cycles." 🔄💰 🔐 Cybersecurity: Built to withstand cyber attacks, the Internet Computer ensures a secure, resilient space for developers and users alike. 🛡️🖥️

The economics of the Internet Computer are changing: Old model: Node providers get paid just for running nodes. New model: 80% of cloud engine revenue goes to the nodes powering it. 20% burns ICP. Node provider associations are already lining up to market cloud engines to enterprises across Europe. Real demand. Real infrastructure.

The Internet Computer is now at the point where you can test and feel mass market platforms built on cloud engines. That is how Pierre Samaties frames where the work has got to. What comes next, he says, is walking down the road of adoption with Pakistan, with the UNDP, and with all the other governments that come out of this. Pierre DFINITY Foundation

“I want all my nodes in Germany.” “I want GDPR compliance across Europe.” “I want to run on 7 Amazon data centers.” Cloud engines on DFINITY Foundation will let you pick exactly where your apps run. And here’s the big unlock: the Internet Computer will run cloud-on-cloud — deploying over Amazon, Google, or both. Your cloud. Your rules.
