I used to think Brand was bullsh*t, so imagine my surprise when I was asked to speak at Meta's Performance Marketing Summit about Brand to a room of performance marketers How'd this happen? Many moons ago, I co-founded Chubbies. It's a nine-figure brand now: 8 straight years of top and bottom-line growth, EBITDA up 40% yoy But we almost went out of business first — running the exact playbook a lot of performance marketers are running right now CAC creeping up every year. Only 'growing' when we discounted harder, longer, wider. Same ads, same people, growth on loan from the algorithm Then we incorporated Brand into our 'performance' media, and revenue re-accelerated. More importantly, so did profit Here are 3 mistakes I made, 3 things I learned, and 3 actions you can take on Monday: Here's what I had wrong: 1. I thought brand was logos, fonts, or a brand book nobody opens 2. I thought spending ANY dollars on ads that didn't drive a conversion was the dumbest thing a performance marketer could do 3. And when I finally tried it, I chased the wrong thing — we went for meme-lord reach, piling up views with no connection back to the brand Here's what I know now: 1. Brand is the moat. It's pricing power. It's why people buy from you without you competing on price and features 2. The "trough of despair" everyone's scared of? It doesn't show up — because you fund brand by reallocating your least-efficient dollars, not by adding budget (and other reasons) 3. And it's accountable. Build a behavioral funnel, drive a real action like branded search, measure it with a geo-holdout. It's not a vibes contest More on this "trough of despair" being a nothing burger: 1. The brands we do this for don't see the trough. A ~$75M denim brand grew contribution dollars roughly 50% year over year — with new customers and total revenue climbing the whole time 2. An outdoor brand ran brand media alone — and the lift showed up everywhere its customers shop: its own site, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and strongest of all, 2.5x incremental revenue on a major brick-and-mortar retailer's shelves 3. A six-month geo-holdout showed brand driving 1.93x incremental revenue — while the saturated direct-response they'd been relying on was returning a blended 0.91x Les Binet's research concurs: grow your share of search, and good things follow So, three things you can do Monday: 1. Find the marginal return on your least-efficient dollars. Those can move to brand with no short-term revenue drop 2. Look at the creative you ship. Would your friends be hyped to see it — or "ugh, he's selling me something"? You want a healthy mix 3. Build your behavioral funnel. Define the action at every stage so brand stops being soft and starts being math The full vid is attached. Case studies in the comments. If you still think "performance" brand is bullsh*t — let's discuss What's the data you'd need to see to change your mind? Tell me where you're stuck/skeptical and let's get into it below

Think your Project 2025 will work? It failed miserably for 1940s world, Germany and it will fail you now. We need to make America grateful again. The American people deserve far better than this convicted felon. If Trump is re-elected, expect a regression not to 1776 but to the 1760s, complete with taxation without representation. Save your money, sharpen your manual labor skills, and prepare to lose healthcare and social security, as society splits by class and with robots, you'll find yourselves competing with AI. Canada and Mexico, consider revising your asylum laws, as many Americans might seek your sanctuary. Under King Trump, expect state sell-offs to Putin. Start learning Russian and get accustomed to cheap vodka. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: Project 2025, backed by The Heritage Foundation and endorsed by Donald Trump, is a central Republican strategy for 2024. This comprehensive plan aims to reshape the federal government according to conservative principles, dangerously centralizing executive power and sidelining Congress. Historical parallels, such as Nazi Germany, warn of its authoritarian potential.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫: Vought's plan emphasizes executive power while bypassing Congress, mirroring Hitler's use of the Enabling Act of 1933, which allowed his government to enact laws without the Reichstag's consent. This erodes the constitutional separation of powers and checks and balances.⁣⁣⁣ •𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬: Vought aims to staff the government with Trump loyalists, akin to how Nazis replaced civil servants and judges with party members, compromising the impartiality and independence of the civil service and judiciary.⁣⁣⁣ •𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬: Vought's intention to dismantle the "administrative state" targets essential regulatory agencies, much like the Nazi process of Gleichschaltung, which brought all aspects of German society under their control.⁣⁣⁣ •𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Vought's team is preparing legal justifications to expand executive power, similar to Nazi legal theorists who advocated for the Nazification of German law, violating constitutional norms.⁣⁣⁣ •𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬: Vought's plan is influenced by conservative think tanks, just as Nazi policies were shaped by racist and authoritarian ideologies.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Russ Vought’s plan fundamentally betrays the principle of putting America first. By seeking to concentrate executive power, bypass Congress, and dismantle essential regulatory agencies, Vought places personal and partisan interests above the nation’s welfare. His agenda undermines the integrity of the federal workforce, politicizes governance, and destroys public trust in democratic institutions. This strategy paves the way for autocratic rule, sacrificing the very foundations of American democracy for authoritarian control. Vought’s vision jeopardizes the nation's stability and prosperity, putting America last and prioritizing power over the people.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For anyone who believes his lies about not supporting Project 2025: There are several areas where Donald Trump's policies and campaign speeches align with aspects of Project 2025, despite Trump publicly lying and trying to distance himself from the project. Here are the key alignments: Expanding Executive Power: Trump campaigns on vastly expanding executive authority over the federal government, aligning with Project 2025's goal of consolidating executive power. Restructuring Federal Workforce: Trump proposes implementing the "Jacksonian spoils system" to replace government employees. Similarly, Project 2025 suggests reclassifying tens of thousands of federal civil service workers as political appointees to replace them with loyalists. Immigration Policies: Trump advocates for anti-immigrant policies and a massive deportation operation. This aligns with Project 2025's focus on defending national borders and sovereignty. "America First" Foreign Policy: Trump promotes an isolationist "America First" agenda, in line with Project 2025's emphasis on national sovereignty. Anti-Regulatory Stance: Trump intends to institute anti-regulatory policies, aligning with Project 2025's goal of dismantling the "administrative state." Social and Cultural Issues: Trump leans into nativist and anti-LGBT rhetoric, corresponding with Project 2025's aim to infuse government and society with conservative Christian values. Education Reforms: Trump proposes terminating the Department of Education, while Project 2025 suggests decentralizing its authority. Energy and Environmental Policies: Trump pursues a climate change denial and anti-clean energy platform, aligning with Project 2025's likely stance on energy deregulation. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck. American people deserve better than TFG Trump stiffed hardworking contractors, knowing they couldn't afford prolonged legal battles. Republicans did nothing about it. His Trump University misled veterans and everyday people, resulting in millions in fines. Republicans did nothing about it. He used $250 million from your donations as his "defense" fund to cover personal expenses. Republicans did nothing about it. He manipulated elderly supporters by quietly setting up recurring donations, draining their bank accounts. Republicans did nothing about it. I mean who steals money from a children's cancer charity? Republicans did nothing about it. At last, he's facing consequences for trying to undermine U.S. democracy by pulling all stops to snatch an election he knew was lost. He even went to the extent of calling for the dismantling of the U.S. Constitution, which he vowed to defend. Republicans did nothing about it. If you still believe he's innocent, the problem isn't with him; it's you. You are in a cult. Republicans did nothing about this cult-like following. Several of Donald Trump's former Cabinet members and close allies have openly declared they won't support him in future elections, each providing their own reasons for this stance. Here's a quick rundown of their views: Mike Pence: The ex-Vice President isn't endorsing Trump for the 2024 race, pointing to "profound differences" that go beyond their January 6 disagreement, including Trump's views on TikTok, abortion, and national debt management. John Bolton: The former National Security Adviser won't vote for Trump or Biden, planning to choose a conservative Republican instead. He's voiced concerns over Trump's suitability for office and his foreign policy moves. James Mattis: The former Defense Secretary has critiqued Trump for dividing Americans and questioned his leadership and its impact on national unity. Mark Esper: Trump's second Defense Secretary considers him unfit for office, citing Trump's self-interest and lack of integrity. Rex Tillerson: The ex-Secretary of State has been critical of Trump's grasp on global events and history, suggesting he's unprepared and uninformed. John Kelly: Trump's longest-serving Chief of Staff has criticized Trump's personality and leadership style. Mick Mulvaney: The former Chief of Staff prefers someone else as the GOP nominee, doubting Trump's chances against Biden in a general election. Dan Coats: The former Director of National Intelligence is backing Mike Pence in the GOP primary over Trump. Jeff Sessions: Despite supporting Trump's agenda, the former Attorney General has had conflicts with Trump, especially over the Russia investigation and his recusal from it. Olivia Troye: A former Pence advisor, Troye has slammed Trump's COVID-19 response, accusing him of putting reelection before public health. Miles Taylor: Describing his time in the Trump administration as "terrifying," the former DHS chief of staff has endorsed Biden, citing Trump's threat to the country. Elizabeth Neumann: The ex-Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism at DHS has accused Trump of worsening the domestic terrorism threat and declared her vote for Biden. Anthony Scaramucci: The short-lived White House Communications Director supports Biden, critiquing Trump's leadership and policies. These individuals cite various concerns about Trump's leadership, policy decisions, integrity, and the negative effects on the country's unity and security as reasons for withdrawing their support for his future political endeavor! If these individuals, all handpicked by you, refuse to vote for you, then why should anyone believe anything you say? Trump's other 'achievements': -Gave over $1.7 TRILLION (5 times student relief) in tax breaks to the ultrarich. Republicans did nothing about the inequality it exacerbated. $7.8 TRILLION added to the deficit. Nothing but 8 miles of new wall Mexico was supposed to pay. Republicans did nothing about this fiscal irresponsibility. -$150 Million for golf. Republicans did nothing about this misuse of funds. -Had to be praised every 5 minutes. Republicans did nothing about this egoism. -Lied over 30,000 times in 4 years. Republicans did nothing about these falsehoods. -Kissed Putin's behind in Helsinki in front of the world. Republicans did nothing about this display of subservience. -Got impeached twice in one term :). Republicans did nothing to hold him accountable. -Asked for dirt on his opponent, twice. Republicans did nothing about these unethical requests. -Tried everything to steal our election. Republicans did nothing to safeguard our democratic processes. -Taxpayers overpaid for his secret service $1200 per night staying at his properties. Republicans did nothing about this profiteering. -Gave Taliban their leader & 5K soldiers, with no exit plan for May 2021. Republicans did nothing about this strategic blunder. -His campaign chair, NSA chief & others were indicted/pardoned. Republicans did nothing about this corruption. -Called himself THE CHOSEN1! :)). Republicans did nothing about this messianic complex. -Pleaded the 5th 440 times. Republicans did nothing about this evasion of accountability. -Took over $250 million from his supporters when he left office for "Defense Fund" to pay his own personal bills. Republicans did nothing about this exploitation. -Stole our national secrets for who knows why. Many top secret empty folders. Republicans did nothing about this breach of national security. -Met with Putin with no recordings. Republicans did nothing about this lack of transparency. Trump's Taxing Concerns in China: The New York Times unveiled Trump paying over $188,000 in taxes to China between 2013-2015, while maintaining an undisclosed bank account there. He paid more taxes to China than in the U.S. Spot the issue? Republicans did nothing about this financial conflict of interest. Shady Transactions Post White House: His son-in-law, despite failing a White House security clearance, received $3.1 billion from a foreign government right after leaving office. Questions, anyone? Republicans did nothing about these dubious dealings. Allegations of Trump's Criminal Acts: Republicans did nothing about these numerous allegations of criminal misconduct. Trump's Ties to Russia: Republicans did nothing about these troubling connections and implications for national security. 4th Indictment Against Trump: Republicans did nothing about these accusations of election tampering and abuse of power. Third Indictment: Conspiracy to Defraud the US: Accused of unlawfully disrupting the 2020 election by making fraudulent claims and pressuring officials. Republicans did nothing about this blatant disregard for electoral integrity. -Obstructing an Official Proceeding: Accused of hindering Congress's January 6 certification of election results. Republicans did nothing about this direct threat to our democratic process. -Obstruction of Official Proceeding: Alleged to have impeded certification by pressuring Pence and inciting the Capitol riot. Republicans did nothing about this dangerous escalation of political tension. -Conspiracy Against Rights: Accused of intimidating election officials and disenfranchising voters. Republicans did nothing about these serious threats to voter rights. Second Indictment Highlights: -Knowledge and Intent: Accused of withholding subpoenaed documents, suggesting possible illegal intent. Republicans did nothing about this obstruction of justice. -Obstruction of Justice: Allegedly kept unauthorized documents hidden from the National Archives. Republicans did nothing about this breach of protocol. -Evidence Depth: Varied evidence indicates illegal document acquisition and concealment attempts. Republicans did nothing about these potentially criminal actions. Additional Notes: -Document Selection: The 31 indictment documents were likely chosen for relevance. Republicans did nothing to address the significance of these selections. We can and do deserve better than these DO-NOTHING Republicans with their America First slogan. Our diversity is our STRENGTH, not a flaw. Republicans did nothing to embrace or celebrate this diversity, instead often standing in opposition to it.

✨ I spent the last 48 hours making GPT-4 read the entire Solana validator codebase and write documentation, so doesn't have to. Introducing — an AI-powered chatbot trained on nothing but code that can answer deep technical questions. How it works 👇 But first... A huge shoutout to , Zahid Khawaja, and Sean. Their hard work made prototyping this thing a breeze. Without further ado... Devs like to write code, not documentation. Tribal knowledge is lost when devs move on to other projects, leaving future devs to sort through mountains of code and figure out not just how it works, but why it works that way. This is all about to change. GPT-4's ability to write code is stunning. It seems to understand something fundamental about writing software that previous models just didn't. This comprehension of the principles that drive the design behind a complex system carries over into its ability to document existing codebases in a truly impressive way. With the enlarged context window(s), it's now feasible to feed GPT-4 entire files of code and ask it to write documentation about how the code works. Taking this as a starting point, the process looks something like this: 1. Download repo. 2. Depth-first traversal of repo contents, ignoring things like package-lock and binary files. 3. For each file, feed to GPT-4 and ask it to write documentation in markdown. 4. Save the output in a separate location as [outputRoot]/[inputFilepath][inputFilename].md 5. For each folder, we ask GPT-4 to write a summary of the folder, taking the newly generated documentation for all files in the folder and the summaries from each of its subfolders as context. Write this to the filesystem as markdown. Now we have a filesystem that matches the structure of the input repo, but all files in the tree are markdown documentation of the corresponding code file. From here, we: 1. Load markdown documents into LangChain. 2. Embed all documents via OpenAI embeddings. 3. Store embeddings in Pinecone. When a user sends a query: 1. Embed query. 2. Find k-nearest markdown files. 3. Feed to GPT-4 with a prompt asking to answer the query based on k-nearest markdown documents provided. The craziest part of all this? GPT-4 actually wrote ~30% of the code. The results are pretty good for 2 days of work. There is certainly room for improvement. Some items that are top of mind: 1. TolyGPT will occasionally hallucinate answers. It is especially bad with links to external sources, like GitHub. The base model seems to know a bit about Solana already, and sometimes this creeps in. Fine-tuning the prompt can solve some of this. 2. Context selection is difficult in a codebase this large. For example, sometimes it will pull in details about the Solana SDK when asked about transaction processing. The SDK files can seem relevant depending on the phrasing of the question. It may be worth breaking the documentation into subsystems to limit this. 3. Not all files fit into the 32k token window. As of now, there are 23 (out of ~1,100) files that cannot be documented in their entirety. Some of these files are very important to how Solana works. Final thoughts: 1. GPT-4 is super powerful, and we're going to see a ton of tools that supercharge the entire software development lifecycle. This is not 12 months away. For the people that can afford it, these tools are here now. And they're only getting better. Act accordingly. 2. The price of inference has to come down for this to go mainstream. I spent about $300 prototyping this project, and the final crawl cost about the same. The high cost of GPT-4 will push developers to other, cheaper alternatives with similar performance. This is coming very soon. If you have a large software project and you're interested in something like this for your codebase, fill out this form and we'll be in touch this week. Or just DM me :)

Analyzing Episode 40. Season 2 aka Of Uzak Şehir, The Alboras, and The Great Retcon Twist Okay dokie. Let's get to analyzing episode 40, but I'm gonna take a different approach for this one. Why? Because throughout the episode, it seemed like the writer was trying to drive home one point - Who really is Boran Albora? From the moment this episode kicked off, the showdown in the salon shows the viewers Boran refusing to let Alya go. He keeps repeating one thing - you're MY wife, Deniz is MY son. It has nothing to do with feelings and emotions; this man is clearly functioning based on possessiveness and control. Alya, bless her heart, tries to appeal to his emotions and begs him to let her go while preserving some semblance of normalcy for Deniz. But what does the zombie come back with - he says I'll never let you leave me and marry Cihan. Alya keeps repeating she doesn't want him, but it's like her wants and wishes don't even register with Boran. Then, she says something magical. She says she doesn't 'know' him. And, it's true. She lived with the man for seven years, had a child with him, but in the end, his betrayal cuts her so deep, she scraps all the knowledge she thinks she knows about him. Now, I've seen many people saying that's the idea of living with a man and having his kid, while not truly knowing him, is ridiculous. Not true. In fact, in psychologically abusive relationships, it generally takes a very long time for one partner to discover the other's true colors. And note, thus far, the writer seems to be hinting at the fact that Boran's mask tends to slip when he's under pressure. Anyway, when the zombie once again turns to Cihan and all but orders him to get divorced, we see a teeny-tiny glimpse of ruthless Cihan from s1 make a comeback. Being the smarty-pants he is, Cihan says if the zombie wants them to get divorced, he'd better get his old identity back first. Why? Does Cihan want to buy time? Does he want the zombie to reveal himself to figure out what he's hiding? Does he try to trap him into coming out so Alya can divorce his ass once and for all? I suspect it's all three. Now, let's jump to scene two, which seemed to scream the writer wants the audience to go back and ask themselves, was Boran really the benevolent older brother, or was he always the clever manipulator? When Cihan, Nare, and Kaya are all having a heart-to-heart in Cihan's cave room, Kaya starts the conversation by saying 'Boran is still in trauma, because he clearly can't decide what he wants or what he's doing. He's not the same Boran.' Is that right, though? Because from what we know of Boran, the man seems to do stupid shit and leaves everyone else to deal with the mess he leaves behind. He's the walking, talking textbook definition of 'selfish.' Thankfully, it seems like Cihan isn't thinking along the same lines. Because to him, Boran saving his own skin while leaving Alya and Deniz behind doesn't add up. And what's more, it sparks old memories because who knows better about Boran's cut-and-run act than the guy who always has to clean up after him? So, that Cihan suspects Boran's up to his no good shit again is obvious. He seems to be the only one waking up to the fact that the older brother he hero-worshipped may not be the man he thought he was. And, that makes perfect sense, because isn't Cihan the guy to tell Alya that people like the truth can be multifaceted. Which brings me to scene number 3, when Sahin and Zerrin come over to visit 'abi.' To say their meeting doesn't go down well is an understatement. Because, here too, the only one Boran seems to really care about is himself. Nare can't go with Sahin because Ecmel tried to kill him, etc, etc. But, I don't think that's his problem really, seeing as how it's obvious as day the zombie will eventually turn to Ecmel's side. I think what's really eating Boran up is that life has moved on, and he's no longer playing the starring role in any of their lives. Cihan is Aga now. Kaya is no longer a teenager. Nare is a married woman. Alya is in love with Cihan. And Deniz has picked out another father for himself. See? All these people in his orbit, whom he's constantly blaming and picking fights with, have all grown, changed, and matured. All except one. Sadakat. The zombie seems to get along great with her because she's constantly pandering to his massive ego and control issues. She keeps filling his ears with how he can 'take back' Alya and Deniz. She keeps saying no believed her when she said Ecmel was out to kill him. It's almost like the man gravitates towards special treatment and entitlement. Because that's likely how he was raised. Oh, he's the eldest brother; you should respect him. Oh, he's the firstborn who deserves first pickings. And, Boran likely thrives in such an environment. But the story keeps reminding us that when the going gets tough, Boran prefers to run, or if he can't, he gets nasty. And that leads me to the message I get from ep 40. The great Retcon Twist. Was Boran the good guy who turned bad, or was he always this selfish, entitled prick who got special treatment due to his birth and then eventual 'fake' death? Guess which way I'm leaning? Anyway, enough about the zombie. The other bit that stood out to me in this episode, apart from all the zombie's shenanigans, was how the writer seems to be going out of their way to protect CihAl. I mean, sure, Gulizar has issues with her writing, no doubt, but in this episode, if you pay attention to Cihan and Alya's dialogues (when they're together), you'll pick up little clues to let you know that she's saying, ' I got this.' For example, you know how recently everyone has jumped on the blame Cihan and Alya bandwagon with the shameless tirade? What does Cihan say when they're at dinner, 'Their road is pure despite people calling it wrong.' When Alya confesses how she wanted to hug and sleep in Cihan's arms, but couldn't because they're aware of their circumstances, it was exceedingly heartbreaking and a slap to the moral brigade at the same time. And, this is also one of the reasons why I think this love story will not only succeed but will stand the test of time with a happy ending, because they never compromise on their set of principles and ideals. They don't use the cliched excuse 'oh, but we're in love' to steamroll over other people's lives and happiness. That's what makes CihAl so perfect as a couple. There's a lot more to cover from this episode, but this is all from me for now. Till later, watch with your eyes, think with your head, and feel with your heart. Happy reading, y'all. #CihAl #UzakŞehir

"Come on, folks. Do we see what's playing out here? Marbury v. Mad might have just brought down the Commissioner of the Boston Police Department." - Towel, November 6, 2025 Rule #1 in Massachusetts politics right now; Do not mess with Attorney Corey Hopkins. She's going to get barred here just to reform the government (then I'll become her paralegal and we'll submit public records requests all day). Good plan. TRANSCRIPT (from Towel's coverage of the letter in question, uncovered by Attorney Hopkins); Hello and good evening. It is just past 6 p.m. on Monday, November 3rd, 2025. My name is Grant Smith-Ellis, and I'm back with you again for another developing news update, this time related to Boston Police Commissioner Cox responding to a developing series of scandals, in particular related to former Boston Police Officer—well, first former Canton Police Officer, then former Boston Police Officer—Kelly Dever. Now, Kelly Dever was an integral witness during the John O'Keefe and Karen Read trial about one specific series of events in the early morning of January 29, 2022—not really related to John's death per se, but related to the then-chief of the Canton Police Department, Ken Berkowitz, who was also potentially the person that went to the FBI about Brian Tully's MSP unit, Massachusetts State Police unit, detailed to the Norfolk DA, who were the same people that investigated Karen Read for John's death. Berkowitz was the same person who apparently went to the FBI in 2022 about Tully's unit through John Fanning covering up Sandra Birchmore's death at the hands of former Stoughton PD officer Matthew Farwell. Okay, Ken Berkowitz and Brian Higgins—then undercover ATF agent who himself had been in a relationship of some kind, we'll call it that, with Karen in the months before John's death. That's a whole story we will not get into. The point is, Higgins and Berkowitz go into the sally port. Now, Kelly Dever had been working since, I think it was 12 a.m. on January 28th. She worked—let me make sure I get this right now—she worked at 12 p.m., noon on January 28th to 8 p.m. Then she worked the 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. shift. Okay, she was doing 16 hours over those two days. At like 1:30 a.m., she saw Berkowitz and Higgins—or around there, maybe a little later—go into the area, an area of the Canton PD. Then—and we're going to find out—she had a meeting with Boston Police Commissioner Cox. Now, why did Commissioner Cox get himself in trouble? Well, not because of the interview we're going to watch, but instead because of an interview about a year ago where he said he knew nothing about the Kelly Dever situation or the Karen Read case. All right, now we're going to quickly come to find out that what we're about to hear from the commissioner is not the best answer in light of this little document found by the incredible Marbury v. Madison on X, Corey A. Hopkins, a business litigator based in North Carolina. Towel really likes Marbury v. Madison because, first of all, Marbury v. Madison is an awesome case, and it entrenched the supremacy of the judiciary as to saying what the law is by virtue of the Constitution. Solved a very complex problem related to the Judiciary Act of 1789 and, in particular, the emergence of political parties in 1796 and, in particular, 1800, and a slew of last-minute appointments by President Adams and a refusal by President Jefferson to commission—or one of the refusal by Jefferson's Secretary of State Madison to commission a justice of the peace. But it really was about the supremacy of the judiciary branch. Marbury v. Madison uses a lot of FOIAs, and what you're going to see right here is a FOIA request that resulted in this wonderful little document. And what does this show? All right, this document shows, folks, a letter from Stephen J. Kelleher, who's with the White Collar Public Corruption and Civil Rights Division of the FBI in Boston. It is a letter that Marbury v. Madison obtained via a FOIA, and it shows the DOJ reaching out to Commissioner Cox and saying, "Sir, hope all is well. Just a reminder—this was on February 22nd, 2024. The documents were released to the DA's office late last night." This has to do with federal documents about the investigation of John's death by the MSP unit run by Brian Tully working for the Norfolk DA. "The officer we spoke about is Kelly Dever. If you have any questions at all, feel free to call me. Vr. Steve." Okay, folks, this proves that Commissioner Cox was told about Kelly Dever and documents related to her testimony and what she saw Higgins and Berkowitz doing—which I don't think was related to John's death, but it's just embarrassing for Higgins. He was an undercover ATF agent, and embarrassing for Berkowitz. And although Berkowitz is now dead, he was either dying or not dead in 2024. And clearly, this was embarrassing, okay, to the Canton Police Chief, to the Boston Police, to Higgins, to all these people. All right. And so we see here, Cox knows about it. Cox then goes on a few months later—I think it was either after, I think it was right after Karen's second trial, but it was some months after this initial email was sent to Cox. And Cox, in his infinite wisdom, tells Boston 25 or Channel 5 or whatever it was at a news conference that he's basically never heard of Kelly Dever or the Karen Read and John O'Keefe case. Okay, that was a stupid thing to say because then this FOIA comes out in recent weeks. That leads to Alan Jackson to send a Brady letter to Mayor Michelle Wu, the Democratic mayor of Boston running unopposed in the coming election, saying that Cox should be on the Brady list. I think it was—yes, because Cox was not forthcoming about what he was told by the feds about Dever. Okay, now this is Cox's response. I just want to show you how bad of a response this is. Okay, this is a clip via Boston 25, just Cox's comment on these new developments, which—although Alan Jackson's Brady letter is what Cox was asked for comment on—even Alan Jackson himself has rightfully so given credit to Marbury v. Madison for their excellent find on this FOIA document that was unearthed. And this could cost Cox his position. All right, the Democrats in Boston already have the eye of President Trump. The DOJ is all over this unit, in my opinion, and the cover-up of Birchmore's death. Look at the DOJ's pattern of indictments, okay? Recently, not just the Jessica LeClair leaks, but also Sheriff Tompkins and other major Democrats. Look at what's going on here, folks. Think about the larger picture—the most recent indictment, the superseding indictment of Matt Farwell for the murder of Sandra Birchmore's unborn child. It's all coming together. And Commissioner Cox's answer is bad. And that's why I want to analyze it. It's not just like inappropriate. It is a bad, bad, bad answer. When I heard it, I had to immediately make a video to analyze it because that's how bad this answer is. It's short, but I'm going to tell you how bad it is after we listen to it. "But what I need, you know, it's not to be asked this question ever again because it's not—it has to pertain to anything to do with the police department. My condolences to the O'Keefe family for, you know, what they've gone through. And because we did lose a department member. But outside of that, this has nothing to do with us. And I'm not going to speak with this again." Okay, let me just make something clear. I'm not saying he was wrong. It's not wrong to invoke John's name. But doing it that way—that's grotesque. Okay, he didn't answer the question. He basically refused to do so. And again, if you didn't hear the statement—although I'm sure you did—he said, "What I need is to not be asked this question ever again pertaining to anything to do with the police department." What? "My condolences to the O'Keefe family for what they've gone through because we did lose a department member." John O'Keefe was an honorable member of the Boston PD and the SA offenders unit. "But outside of that, this has nothing to do with us, the Boston PD, and I'm not going to speak on this again." No, no, no, no—that you just cost yourself your job right there. I'm sorry. That was a terrible, terrible answer. I'm sorry for the volume. I'm just running it back. Terrible answer. The worst possible answer. You may well have just cost yourself your job because you ducked the question. Everyone knows that the question is about this document. Anyone following this knows. The implications are what Dever knew about Berkowitz and Higgins, and maybe that's not the most serious thing. But as President Nixon said, it is not the crime, it's the cover-up. Dever, whatever she did—not wanting to talk about certain things about Higgins and Berkowitz, unrelated to John's death, just because it's kind of embarrassing—that is not a problem really. It's a minor thing. You know what's a big deal? Dever definitely got Brady-listed or whatever because her testimony was a little weird. I think Alan Jackson also pressured her a little bit. But whatever, that's not the point here. Cox's response—that was bad. That was bad PR. That's like the kind of thing when Prince Andrew was forced to go out and do an interview with BBC One about Epstein, and it just cost him all his titles because he got no PR help; he got sandbagged. That kind of thing—somebody didn't prep him, or the people he was talking to didn't even think this would come up. That's a horrible answer. Twenty seconds can cost you your career if you have done something bad and you answer a tough question like that. It's defensive; it shows you have something to hide; it undermines people's faith in your ability to answer those kind of questions. That's the biggest problem for Commissioner Cox here. Instead of inspiring confidence and making it look like it was nothing or it was just a routine, he couldn't even address the fact that he was made aware in February, in particular, about Kelly Dever and he had knowledge—he had a meeting with her. Let's be clear: He put her on his schedule the very next day. Not only did he have recipient knowledge of what was going on with the federal investigation and the John O'Keefe and Karen Read case—Dever got called into his office the next day, which of course Cox initially tried to play off as just some routine meeting, as if he meets with all 2,600 or whatever of the Boston police force. No. Come on, folks. Come on, folks. Do we see what's playing out here? Marbury v. Madison might have just brought down the Commissioner of the Boston Police Department. My name is Grant Smith-Ellis. Enjoy the rest of your Monday. We'll see what other news comes in today. Sean Good on suspension. Michael Proctor's cell phone gate engulfing the world in a conflagration. Little towel basically running down the street from the masses, trying to insulate himself from the fallout of this God-forsaken situation. Institutional reform is coming—to the Norfolk DA, hopefully throughout the state police—so that the good people in law enforcement can keep helping the vulnerable and that the exploited, no matter how much pressure they come under, continue to speak their truth. And let me just say this: Whenever we stand against the flow of opinion on hotly contested issues, a man, a woman, and a Towel—do what they must in spite of the personal consequences, in spite of the dangers and obstacles and pressures. For that is the basis of all human morality. We will be there for each other in times of struggle. We will be side by side in times of joy. And when everything is on the line and when our principles matter the most, there will be no price too high to pay to center the voices of the unheard, to bring justice to the vulnerable, and to reform this God-forsaken justice system in Massachusetts so that we can all hand down a structural system to our future generations that is worthy of our Constitution, that is worthy of our collective intelligence, and that is worthy of the due reverence we all should be providing to the pursuit of justice. My name is Grant Smith-Ellis. Until next time, you're a towel, I am as well. Be well. God bless.

"Mark this day on your calendar: 11/18/25 - the day the entire online world surrounding Karen Read, John O’Keefe, Turtleboy, Lindsey Gaetani, Brian Tully, Michael Proctor, Yuri Bukhenik, and the Norfolk DA went straight to hell in a handbasket. Kate Peter and Leigha “Bathtub” Genduso have taken center stage in the remaining Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney cases, and Lindsey Gaetani is on an absolute wrecking path. Look at that: Kate Peter had ex parte contact with one of the special prosecutors working for the Norfolk DA, and now there's a record of it. Kate's Discord server might not survive. She's got a November 25 hearing on her open felony charges where the issue is the Norfolk DA's conflict because of their contact with Kate Peter." To understand why PI Kate Peter and all her Discord operatives are losing their collective minds on social media right now, the answer is this recent filing from Aidan TurtleBoy Kearney; In short, Kate had ex parte contact with the DA's office (and Lindsey Gaetani can prove it). TRASNCRIPT: In the past week, the defense—that's the Aidan Kearney defense—has obtained five items of favorable and discoverable evidence which should have been, but were not, disclosed to us by the Commonwealth. Two of the discoverable items originated from civilian witness Lindsey Gaetani. First, there's an audio recording where Leigha Genduso texted her on December 11, 2023, which Ms. Gaetani posted online on November 9, 2025. And second, an email from Kate Peter to special prosecutor Kenneth Mello dated February 14, 2024, which Kate Peter forwarded to Lindsey Gaetani on February 22, 2024, and Lindsey then forwarded to the defense on November 11, 2025. Oh hey, Leigha Genduso, you made it into a court filing! God bless America! Look at that, ladies and gentlemen—Leigha Genduso is in the Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney case. She's going to be so pleased. I have to do a tweet about this. I'm posting about this right now. Ladies and gentlemen, hold on—how do I phrase this? Kate Peter's Discord server is going to lose their ever-loving minds. Leigha Genduso has made her appearance in the Aidan Turtleboy Kearney case, and it is glorious. Who hid that recording from the defense? God bless the United States of America. I should join the defense bar—I think I'm going to do it. Oh, Adam Deitch just announced he's running for Norfolk DA, by the way—the guy from the federal investigation into John O'Keefe's death. God bless us all. How do you even spell Genduso? G-E-N-D-U-S-O. Can I call her Leigha Bathtub Genduso? I feel like that's reasonable. Lindsey's trying to make that a thing, and I think it should be a thing. Leigha Bathtub Genduso has made her appearance, and Bossy Texas Chicken Bella are listening with all their towel ears. Here we go—let's do it. Oh, Kate Peter's in there too. God bless America. This is a glorious day. Listen, listen—now I know my Towel Mom best. I'll take the slings and arrows. This is freaking amazing. About time. Goddamn Kate Peter and Leigha Genduso—goddamn little towels. They're not towels; they're anti-towels. Is there such a thing as an anti-towel? If there is, it's Kate Peter. We thought maybe it was other people—it was Kate Peter all along. She's an anti-towel. Yes, it is glorious. Kate Peter and Leigha Bathtub Genduso have taken center stage in the remaining Aidan Turtleboy Kearney cases, and Lindsey Gaetani is on a wrecking path. Somebody check on Kate's Discord server—it's probably chaos. I'm hilarious, you've got to admit. I'm endearing and hilarious. Who else just narrates writing their Twitter posts as they write them? It's very meta, you know what I'm saying? I can't take forever with this though—I have to be somewhat of an erudite and informed little towel. We've got to continue. I'm tagging Lindsey because she's a little towel. You're a little towel. I'm clearly overly excited. Wow, it's all happening at the same time. What a day. God bless these United States of America. I'm never going to get to eat if all this keeps happening—I'm just running in circles. Look at that—Kate Peter had ex parte contact with one of the special prosecutors working for the Norfolk DA, and now there's a record of it. Kate's Discord server might not survive. She's got a November 25 hearing on her open felony charges where the issue is the Norfolk DA's conflict because of their contact with Kate Peter. Mark this day on your calendar, ladies and gentlemen: November 18, 2025—the day the online world related to Karen Read, John O'Keefe, Turtleboy, Lindsey Gaetani, Brian Tully, Michael Proctor, Yuri Bukhenik, the Norfolk DA, and everything else all went to hell in a handbasket. Their worlds have imploded. Kate Peter had direct ex parte contact with members of the Norfolk DA's office, and there is now evidence in the hands of Aidan Turtleboy Kearney. This could be huge for Kate's November 25 hearing where her relationship to the DA's office is at issue. The revenge of Lindsey Gaetani. Lindsey Gaetani will be a prosecution and defense trial witness. She voluntarily cooperated with the prosecution against Mr. Kearney from December 2023 until approximately September 2025. During that period, she met and spoke with Detective Lieutenant Brian Tully, Mr. Mello, and Mr. Cosgrove. Her direct contact with Mr. Mello and Detective Lieutenant Tully resulted in Mr. Mello being disqualified from a now-dismissed 2024 case because his interactions with her made him a material defense witness. On December 14, 2023, she was interviewed by Detective Lieutenant Tully and Mr. Mello's investigator. On December 22, 2023, she was summoned to testify before the grand jury. In January 2024, she voluntarily provided her cell phone to Detective Lieutenant Tully for the MSP to prepare an extraction report, under a promise by Ken Mello and Tully that it would be redacted. On January 22, 2024, Detective Lieutenant Tully applied for a search warrant to seize Karen Read's cell phones. Information from Ms. Gaetani served as a substantial source of the probable cause in Tully's affidavit—paragraphs 72 to 89, I'd say a good 12 to 15 paragraphs dedicated to her. Mr. Cosgrove is currently seeking to search Ms. Read's phones in anticipation of seeking an indictment against her and Mr. Kearney for conspiracy to commit witness intimidation. What the fuck? That's it. I'm just trying to eat my fucking lunch, and now this? Aiden Turtleboy Kearney's lawyers have confirmed in a bombshell filing that special prosecutor Robert Cosgrove is aiming to search Karen Read's phones for the purpose of criminally indicting Kearney and Read. This is outrageous. They were never going to really charge Kearney—it was all to get to Karen. I told you! Somebody get me a soapbox! Peep Bunny Towel! Peep Bunny Towel! Peep Bunny Towel! [Peep Bunny Towel squeaking in the background] I woke him up very rudely. I'm sorry, Peep—I'll give you food in a second. I am having a day! This has been a ridiculous fucking day. First I just wanted to cover a regulatory hearing, and now I'm forced to use my comfort Peep Bunny Towel because there have been so many developments. First Brian Walsh pleading guilty to two charges but going to trial on first-degree murder, then Karen Read announcing she's suing basically the entire town of Canton, then the 46-page filing, then the Farwell filing, then down the rabbit hole on the sealed affidavit—and now all hell is breaking loose. Leigha Genduso and Kate Peter are probably running around like chickens with their heads cut off, and the reason Cosgrove and Tully were seizing Karen's phones all the way back in January 2024 was because their plan was to charge Karen and Aidan together. Ladies and gentlemen, someone get my broom—I don't even know what to say anymore. This is outrageous. I'm joining the defense bar. I've had enough prosecutorial misconduct. I'm done. On February 1 and 22, 2024, Ms. Gaetani testified before a grand jury that returned indictments against her. In June 2025, Mr. Cosgrove called her as a prosecution witness against herself in a district court trial, and she was acquitted of all charges notwithstanding her own testimony. In the past few months, Ms. Gaetani has publicly accused numerous prosecution witnesses and sources—including Kate Peter, Leigha Genduso, Detective Lieutenant Tully, and Jen McCabe—of assorted misconduct that adversely impacts their credibility. On September 5, 2025, she sued Mr. Cosgrove and Detective Lieutenant Tully for intentional infliction of emotional distress and interfering with her rights by threat, intimidation, or coercion. That same day she served notice of intent to sue the Norfolk DA. As a result of her civil complaint against him, Mr. Cosgrove voluntarily withdrew from the 2024 case, recognizing the obvious conflict when a prosecutor is sued for intentionally harming a witness in a case he is prosecuting. Thank you, Peep Bunny Towel—this is a day if I've ever seen a day. I'll go back to reading the document. I mean, how do you even make sense of this? There's like 70,000 words, Peep Bunny Towel is in it, it won't stop—it's just more and more and more. Thank you, Peep Bunny Towel. All right, he says I can get through it. Let's do it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a day. This is a day if I've ever seen a day. Let me tell you right now—this is a day. On February 1st and 22nd of 2024, Ms. Gaetani testified before a grand jury that returned indictments against Ms. Gaetani. In June of 2025, Ms. Gaetani was called by Mr. Cosgrove as a prosecution witness against Ms. Gaetani in a district court trial. Notwithstanding Ms. Gaetani's own testimony, Ms. Gaetani was acquitted of all charges. In the past few months, Ms. Gaetani has publicly accused numerous prosecution witnesses and sources—including Ms. Peter, Ms. Genduso, Detective Lieutenant Tully, and Jen McCabe—of assorted misconduct or other issues that adversely impact their credibility. See Bederow/Yannetti's October 2nd filing, paragraphs 90 through 98. On September 5th, 2025, Ms. Gaetani sued Mr. Cosgrove and Detective Lieutenant Tully for, among other things, intentional infliction of emotional distress and interfering with her rights by threat, intimidation, or coercion. I think that had to do with the release of one specific report—it wasn't about her phone; it was about a report on something that's very intense. That same day, Ms. Gaetani also served notice of her intent to sue the Norfolk DA because of the harm Mr. Cosgrove and Det. Lt. Tully allegedly caused her. I'm still not totally sure where he's getting that from—I went to the docket, I read the filing, and I still don't fully understand what he's referring to there. Maybe he's reading something I'm not. I don't know. And finally, point 13: As a result of Ms. Gaetani's civil complaint against him, Mr. Cosgrove voluntarily withdrew from the prosecution of the now-dismissed 2024 case because he, quote, “recognized the obvious conflict created by circumstances where a prosecutor is sued for intentionally harming a witness in a case where he is prosecuting.”

Center for Civil Liberties、UAH Media、Reanimation Package of Reforms,还有一个名字直接叫“停止审查”。

Zack Polanski on BBC Radio 4's Today prog calmly knocking back everything Nick Robinson throws at him across 17 minutes NR (00:00.2), "Delighted to say that Zach Polanski is here in the Today programme studio, for the latest, indeed, for the last of our party leader interviews. Morning to you and thanks for coming in." ZP (00:09.2), "Thanks for having me." NR (00:09.8), "Nick, I want to talk to you about what your party would do if it does indeed gain some power after the votes on Thursday. But I want to begin by putting to you one of the latest storeys about you. A Times investigation says that you've made a series of false or disputed claims about jobs you've had in the past with." NR (00:31.8), "Why, for example, did you say you were a spokesperson for the British Red Cross when they are absolutely clear that, though a supporter of theirs, you were never a spokesperson for them?" ZP (00:42.3), "So I hosted, various fundraisers for the British Red Cross and indeed I would go on stage and speak for them about the amazing work they do tackling humanitarian crises, on the climate crisis and indeed for refugees all around the world. I use the wrong word and I accept that." ZP (00:57.5), "But I would essentially take words on stage with me and speak. It's important, though, and I accept this, that, you know, I don't support any political party and I've made sure that's been taken down." NR (01:06.5), "You say this sort of storey is a fuss about nothing, that you get your facts wrong because it comes up with other examples." ZP (01:11.7), "Well, I think it's totally fine to ask me questions about my past. I would also say in the same breath, though the Times published a pretty anti Semitic cartoon of me last week. I asked them to apologise. And it feels some of these storeys feel like scraping the barrel to kind of go back 10, 15 years. I've had so many friends, I'm literally talking maybe 20 or 30 in the last few weeks who have phoned me and said, a Times journalist has been phoning and they've been desperately trying, trying to find things about your past." ZP (01:36.5), "They asked me lots of questions and seemed disappointed that I didn't have some juicy, dirty gossip." NR (01:41.6), "Yeah, well, there was. Whether you call it juicy or dirty, and it wasn't gossip, it was a fact. The fact that you claimed that as a hypnotherapist, you could enlarge women's breasts using the power of thought. People are entitled to say, what's this guy really about?" ZP (01:57.2), "People are totally entitled to say that. And that's an important part of politics, that people ask you questions. What I would say is that, you know, this was 13 years ago. It was a Sun journalist's idea. I've apologised for that. Because even though it was a son journalist idea, I was an adult and I should have said no, you went along with it." NR (02:12.6), "Yeah." ZP (02:12.9), "It's important to say I wasn't a politician. And I've apologised for it repeatedly." NR (02:16.7), "And the BBC showed that some days later, in fact, you repeated the claim that you could do it. But let us not get bogged down in the past. It is striking, though, that on X last night, when, let's be honest, people who are critics of you are having a go. The Daily Mail calls it the Green Menace on its front page." NR (02:34.1), "How did you react? You said you were under relentless attacks because they, your critics don't want a wealth tax, don't want public ownership. They're trying everything in their power to stop us, you said. It's a curious thing to say, isn't it? Ahead of local elections, Green councillors will not have the power to implement any of those policies, will they?" ZP (02:54.8), "Well, I think the relentless attacks on the Green Party in this election, for a local election have partly been about the local election, but really they're about the bigger picture right now. The bigger picture is when I ran to be leader of the Green party, we had 50,000 members, we've now got 225,000 members. So we are rising." ZP (03:11.1), "And I think lots of people are worried about the prospect. And when I say people, people who own, right wing media, multimillionaires and billionaires who are worried about the prospect that they might have to pay a little bit more tax. And so I think it's important that I focus on the vision and the hope and our actual plan." ZP (03:27.4), "I also think it's a complete reality, though we've seen it in the past before with left wing leaders, that there's no secret, there's no love lost between me and the right wing media. And almost every single day they print things that just aren't true." NR (03:38.8), "But just address the point I raised. Wealth tax councils won't get to do that. Public ownership councils don't get to do that. Well, not entirely. We'll come to that in a second. You are running on a national platform of change that the people who are elected on Thursday, whether in the Welsh Parliament, you don't run candidates in the Scottish one, or in English, local councils simply cannot do." ZP (04:03.2), "Well, I think it's about what are your values as a party? And whilst other party leaders and other parties take donations from oil and gas companies or arms trade companies, private healthcare or gambling, Green Party councillors only have two vested interests and Those vested interests. We want to protect the communities we seek to serve and we want to protect the environment." NR (04:21.6), "Well, let's come to that, then, because most interesting, perhaps, is to look at what Greens say who are running for office. You are not. You are a member of the London assembly, you're not a Member of Parliament, you're not running in these elections. Now, you live in Hackney. Hackney happens in northeast London to be a top Green target for taking control from the Labour Party." NR (04:41.9), "So let's look at protecting communities. For example, on crime, the manifesto calls the Metropolitan Police institutionally racist, homophobic, sexist and misogynists. It goes on to say, greens cannot accept this system. It calls for safe spaces for, heroin users to shoot up, to end cautions for street prostitution and to end what the manifesto calls discriminatory policing of delivery riders." NR (05:08.8), "This is an agenda for an endless fight with the police, isn't it?" ZP (05:12.0), "I don't think so. Baroness Casey, in the last couple of years, did a review into Metropolitan Police and it was actually the findings that found it institutionally racist and misogynistic. Something that Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, to his credit, accepts. It is noticeable that Mark Rowley, the Commissioner of the Police, doesn't accept that, yet they continue, to work together in that way." ZP (05:31.1), "On the issue of drug harm, we have the highest drug deaths, of any country in Europe. And every single year for the past 13 years, drug deaths have increased. So I think the question anyone has, and we have in Hackney, is that the war on drugs has clearly failed. It's failed in cities right across this country, and more and more people are, often taking dangerous drugs." ZP (05:50.3), "So do we want people to buy them on the black market or on street corners? Or do we want people to go to a pharmacy or a medical health professional where, if they have an addiction to dangerous drugs, we can work with them to take a public health approach based in harm reduction." NR (06:02.7), "Public health approaches to. Is to legalise hard drugs and to legalise prostitution, you say to legalise and regulate and the regulators. It's still legalised, isn't it?" ZP (06:11.5), "No, the point is you can't just go into a shop and buy drugs, which is how it's presented in the press. Again, because I can keep talking about what councillors can do, rather than what" NR (06:18.3), "you would do if you were Prime Minister, because that's for another interview. Are you saying councillors should cut the police budget? Because that's what it seems to imply when you say, we cannot accept this system, let the council spend Money on crime reduction. Don't give that money to the police." ZP (06:33.7), "It's about reprioritizing. So it's." NR (06:35.5), "Does that mean cut in English?" ZP (06:36.7), "No. So let's look at example. We're straight back onto drugs. A lot of police time is spent on stop and search for cannabis use, for instance. It doesn't escape people's notice that that is often, in the politics of racism, if you're a young black person, I think it's something like you're 18 times more likely to be stopped and searched than your white peer, despite the fact there's no evidence that they're more likely to be dealing or using drugs." ZP (07:00.8), "And so I think it's important that we make sure the police time is spent properly, which I think is about community prevention, about cohesiveness and bringing communities together, particularly in, like, whether it means redirecting the budget." NR (07:11.4), "Does it mean the police budget?" ZP (07:12.9), "Well, it means redirecting within the police budget, so making sure that the time police are spent is spent on community safety." NR (07:18.2), "Well, it's interesting that we talked about police because, as you know, you've come under serious criticism for retweeting criticism of the action of the police officers who stopped the alleged attacker of Jews in Golda's Green. Now, you apologised for retweeting that." NR (07:34.1), "You said you should have a meeting with the head of the Met. You sent him a letter. I want to ask you a different question. You've not apologised for the content of that. Why did you empathise with the attacker, and not with police officers who feared for their own lives and were trying to protect other people's lives?" ZP (07:53.3), "I think there's two things in that that I, really clearly want to say. The first is my very first response to the attack was to be horrif, as everyone was, I'm sure. And the first thing I posted was solidarity to the victim, to the family and indeed, to people who are suffering right now, including as a Jewish man, where Jewish safety is not abstract." NR (08:12.0), "But then you posted that officers were repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head when he was incapacitated by a Taser, caused extreme offence to those officers, to the head of the Met and to many people. I ask you again, why did you empathise, Empathise with the attacker, not with the police officer." ZP (08:28.9), "As I said, there's two things I wanted to say, so that was the first. The second, what I want to say is two things can be true at the same Time officers are incredibly brave when they run towards scenes of crimes that most people, including myself, would want to run away from. At the same time, I think it is accurate, and that I was also traumatised, by seeing, someone handcuffed and completely, repeatedly kicked in the head." ZP (08:51.7), "Now, sure, if you'll forgive me, it is an answer," NR (08:54.4), "but it's not an answer to the question. You posted something with the power that you have, with the number of people who follows us, and not empathising in that post with the Jewish community or critically with the police officers, you empathise with the attacker. Look what they're doing to the alleged attacker." ZP (09:11.1), "I don't think it was your choice. As I say, the first thing I did was show solidarity to the victims and I thank the officers. Second, though, I think the sign of a compassionate society is how we treat people, even people who have done horrific things, because actually, the way we do justice in this country is in court." NR (09:26.0), "You said a key value of the Greens was protecting communities. What are your proposals for protecting the Jewish community?" ZP (09:33.5), "The Jewish community is not safe right now. And as I said, as a Jewish man, this isn't abstract for me. In fact, in the last six weeks alone, two people have been arrested. So how would you protect anti Semitic attacks towards me? I think there's lots that needs to happen in this country. The first is community cohesion and community building. Some of the work that I'm proudest of in London, that I see Londoners do, is where I see the Jewish community working alongside the Muslim community." NR (09:55.1), "What would you do? What would Zach Polanski do in order to reduce attacks on the Jewish community?" ZP (09:59.9), "So, first of all, to invest in that work, that community, faith work, to make sure communities stand together. Second, to make sure that the Jewish community, give them the investment that they need. In fact, what the Prime Minister has been doing to make sure that happens. I do think a police response is the last response when everything before it has failed." NR (10:17.6), "I still think you're not really answering the question about what you would do. Let me ask you this." ZP (10:21.0), "I think I do." NR (10:21.6), "Would you deal with, for example, a candidate who says Jewish people fear hate because they know they should be hated. Another one who suggested that the attacks on the ambulances was a false flag and carried out, presumably by Israel. Another of your candidates who blamed Israel for the Bondi beach terrorist attack." NR (10:41.0), "A fourth candidate who said Donald Trump was, quote, owned by Jews. And most horrifying of all, although this individual has now been arrested, one of your candidates who Reposted something saying ramming a synagogue isn't anti Semitism, it's revenge." NR (10:56.8), "What are you, Zach Polanski doing to end these disgusting messages?" ZP (11:03.5), "Those messages are all unacceptable and it's important to condemn that. The Green Party are an anti racist party and it's important that we stick to our values." NR (11:11.0), "We can't just say the words were an anti racist bar to. And I've just read you out five of the most revolting comments at a time when, according to an independent advisor, we face a national emergency of anti Semitism. I'm asking you, you're not responsible for everything they say. Of course you're not." NR (11:26.3), "You can't be." ZP (11:27.3), "I am responsible, actually." NR (11:28.2), "What are you going to do about it?" ZP (11:29.0), "I am the leader of a party. I was about to finish my sentence." NR (11:31.5), "Forgive me. Go on." ZP (11:32.4), "We're an anti racist party. And so what I've already committed to doing is making sure that we have a standardised vetting process in future. And also make sure that we have compulsory training of all our candidates to make it clear that anti Semitism is completely unwelcome in the Green Party as it is in society. It is also important to say one case of anti Semitism is one too many." ZP (11:50.5), "This is a handful of cases and actually we have over 4,500 candidates, the vast, vast majority of which are doing amazing work in their communities right now, going out there to tackle the cost of living crisis, to make sure that we're funding public services and making sure that it's about people power and community, grassroots power." NR (12:05.1), "You can dismiss one or two as, just, unrepresentative. I've just read five. I could have read 20 cases of revolting anti Semitism posted by your candidates. Now you're a new leader, how are you going to avoid becoming the new Jeremy Corbyn of British politics?" ZP (12:21.5), "Well, I think me and Jeremy are very different people and there's much, you know, the question was almost inviting me to condemn Jeremy Corbyn. I think there was lots that Jeremy Corbyn was putting forward to this country that I think was really positive. We've talked about wealth taxes, about public ownership. I also think it's important, speaking, for myself right now, that we make sure that we have this vetting process, that it's really clear that anti Semitism, Islamophobia, any form of hatred or hate, crime is not welcome." NR (12:47.3), "Do you believe that Palestine is, to coin a phrase, on the ballot this Thursday?" ZP (12:52.3), "I think lots of things are on the ballot this Thursday." NR (12:54.6), "But is Palestine on the ballot? This." ZP (12:56.2), "I think it's one of the elements, as is the climate crisis. As is." NR (12:58.7), "What does it mean Palestine is on the ballot? Because. The reason I ask you is because your candidate for mayor of Lewisham says Palestine is on the ballot this Thursday. Haringey Green Party campaign launch video. You might think it'd be about bins, you might think it'd be about schools, hospitals, it might be about cleaning up the roads." NR (13:17.2), "It is a series of councillors saying, as a council, I will take all appropriate steps to, uphold the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. Do you think council elections really should be about Palestine?" ZP (13:29.8), "I think they can be about all of those things. And I think what people have seen in this country is a genocide for two and a half years that our government is still arming, are still sharing intelligence with. And I think lots of people feel very strongly both about their local services, as they should do, and feel equally strongly about the fact that there's a reprehensible genocide happening." ZP (13:48.5), "And they vote, but the way they vote in local elections" NR (13:52.6), "should be determined by their views of Israel and Palestine." ZP (13:56.0), "I wouldn't tell anyone how their vote should be determined, but I think it's an element for lots of people in how they vote." NR (14:00.1), "And do you think that will contribute to community cohesion? Do you?" ZP (14:02.7), "I think yes, because I think, we shouldn't pit Jewish safety against a genocide in Gaza. That's conflating anti Semitism and criticism of the Israeli government. That's something Benjamin Netanyahu does regularly. And as a Jewish person, that makes me feel less safe." NR (14:16.4), "Sure. But there are lots of Jewish people who would say to you they feel unsafe if they feel that their counsellors are motivated first and foremost by Palestine. And if somebody gives that speech, for example, about Palestine being on the ballot, they are likely to think that." NR (14:34.6), "We looked for, example at Barnett Greens, where one in seven residents identify as Jewish. And it includes in its manifesto the fact that, you're standing up for Palestine. Do you think that's going to help?" ZP (14:49.0), "Well, I walk regularly on Palestinian marches with hundreds and hundreds, in fact, thousands of people, many of whom are Jewish. And there have been rabbis who have spoken out on this too. I accept, though, there are Jewish people whose views are equally as valid who, don't agree with those views." ZP (15:04.0), "And I think the job of all of us who are in public life right now is to de. Escalate tensions. And look, how do we bring people together? And I accept that's a huge challenge. And I think one of the ways we could do that is by ending our complicity in the genocide." NR (15:15.4), "Let's turn finally to another issue. We'll talk at greater length when, we're talking about the possibility of you being Prime Minister, which you have said that you would like to do. One thing that is very high on the agenda now is the soaring cost of government borrowing. What would the Greens do to cut it?" ZP (15:30.6), "Well, I think we need to make sure that we're investing. So I think there's two ways of doing that. The first is, wealth taxes, which I know we've rehearsed before, but I'll just say that's for first place." NR (15:38.4), "How does that cut government borrowing?" ZP (15:40.2), "Because ultimately it means you need to borrow less if you're." NR (15:43.0), "If you're ultimately about cutting the cost of government borrowing." ZP (15:45.5), "Yes." NR (15:45.8), "Which is soaring. It's higher than it's been any time this century because people are nervous about high spending, high taxing governments that are politically unstable." ZP (15:54.7), "I think someone who speaks brilliantly on this, who I've spoken to, is the economist Mariana Matsicatu, and she talks about the fact that a government should have a mission that should be a very clear plan of how you tackle the climate crisis, how you reduce inequality. Now, if you have a clear plan and you're borrowing for that, you're taking the market with you because they can clearly see what the return on investment is and how you're bringing money back into the." ZP (16:15.2), "That's how you reduce borrowing levels. If we don't have a plan and continue to borrow, then it feels very, very scattered, and that's why things are getting worse. We need to make sure that there's a consistent plan in place that's set out carefully that can make sure we're putting money back into our communities and investing in those communities." NR (16:29.3), "Do you think you're ready to be Prime Minister?" ZP (16:31.1), "I'm not ready right now, no. I've been leader for eight months, and there's lots of skills and lots of knowledge to get, and I think that's fine. I think I'm a human being. I'm not perfect." NR (16:38.5), "But give it two years, you will be." ZP (16:40.0), "Well, we'll see in two years time, won't we? But I'll certainly be putting in the work." NR (16:43.2), "Zach Polanski, leader of the Green Party in England and Wales, thanks very much for coming into the." ZP (16:46.3), "Thank you, Nick."

Just returned from an extraordinary experience at the 沪港Web3互补协作发展大会 in Shanghai - a cross-border gathering uniting regulators, builders, and Web3 leaders from Hong Kong and the mainland. I had the chance to deliver a short intro of myself in Chinese (not the easiest 😝). Then I shared how 0G Labs (Ø,G) - AI L1 is building the most performant EVM AI Layer 1 to support transparent, verifiable, and safe AI — powering everything from agents and AI stablecoins to on-chain data marketplaces. I further joined thought leaders exploring how Hong Kong is pioneering regulated stablecoin ecosystems and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization: •SPV structures and token custody frameworks •RWA issuance and compliant primary/secondary market flows •Integration of tokenized money market ETFs, stablecoins, and digital Hong Kong dollar pilots I also enjoyed Prof. Luo Wei’s from Tsinghua University talk on stablecoin monetization and economics and Vino Yao’s talk (from HashKey Group) on Hong Kong’s modular digital asset licensing regime under the SFC, an example of regulatory innovation in Asia. Last but not least, I enjoyed my chat with Duncan Chiu, Hong Kong council member who is pushing for stable coin legislation. This message was clear, China is serious about building a digital financial future. I was honored to represent the mission and vision of 0G: → To make AI a public good → To align AI on-chain → To turn verifiability into a first-class citizen of the tech stack Thanks to the organizers, to Conflux Network Official, and to everyone pushing the frontier of what’s possible at the intersection of AI, Web3, and RWA. Let’s keep building bridges—East to West, AI to blockchain. Blockchain is truly an international coordination technology.

Carol Vorderman in conversation with James O'Brein over Reform UK's Makerfield by-election candidate Robert Kenyon's insulting remarks JOB, "Carol Vorderman has asked Robert Kenyon, a Reform UK's candidate in the imminent Makerfield by election, for an apology, for posts on a now deleted X account in which he, Well, you'll find out, if you don't know already, she said, I want an apology from Rob Kenyon to me and to all the other people he's abused online." JOB, "I sat down with Carol yesterday afternoon to talk about this and, one or two other things. It occurred to me, just sitting down now, Carol, that this is not something you, you sought because you haven't been in any sense reticent in recent years with your political opinions and even with activism, but you've been dragged into this deeply unpleasant situation entirely innocently." JOB, "So unpleasant, in fact, that I'm not sure I can repeat, I'm not sure I'm comfortable saying in front of you the words that Robert Kenyon chose to endorse and defend on, social media." CV, "Well, I am, because it's important that people know. And this is just one comment. He has made multiple comments which are online abuse about me and lots of other people. So the one specifically about me that he endorsed was I want to smell and lick Carol Vorderman's eight letter word beginning with A." CV, "And reform have said, oh, it's just locker room banter. I don't know why they're using the term locker room, by the way, because I thought we said changing rooms in this country. But that's an entirely different, different, question. But the thing is, James, I'm not upset by it, I am angered by it." CV, "And the reason that I'm angered by it is because every woman listening, any woman who is on social media will have similar said to her, either abusive, all the other things that he said. You know, there was some forum that he was on, rugby, league forum, and they were posting pictures of the girls, the women who play." CV, "And then he was saying, oh, English women, they don't care. All they want to do with their fat bellies, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Then there was some, European women. Then he was saying, you know, oh, you wouldn't get me off them with a bazooka." CV, "You know, all this stuff, stuff about abortion. I mean, it's just disgusting stuff. And it's not just one comment, it's a tirade of online abuse. And every woman listening who has had that will know how it makes them feel." CV, "And so I am angry that a political party can take this person on one without obviously vetting him properly. But also that they just defend it and they're fine with that." JOB, "He was not a politician at the time. He was an ordinary man from an ordinary place, said Danny Craig group." CV, "Really? That's what. Yeah, that's what posh boys, who lead the Reform Party think, of ordinary men. Well, ordinary men generally are lovely, you know, they really are." JOB, "We do our best." CV, "Well, you are. And they respect women. All of that is true. But you have this growing minority who are extremely abusive. And I'm 65, James. And so I've been, you know, and women my age, we've been through the hard years." CV, "So in the 70s, you know, I was a bright kid from a comp in North Wales. Free school meals kid. And it took, you know, a lot to get to a Cambridge college because there were only, three girls colleges." CV, "And I think four or five had gone what they called mixed. So these are boys colleges taking on women's colleges. And it was like, why wouldn't you? You know, I was from a boys and girls comp, but we had to go through that." CV, "You had to be the first woman to do this. First woman from a state school. Northwest goes Cambridge first. You know, I was, I think, when I did engineering, There were about 300 students in our year, four or five of them were girls. I worked underground, me and 2,000 men, all this." CV, "So we have done the hard years over decades, all that. I wanted to be a fighter pilot. You can't, because you're a girl and you don't have the appendage that's required. You know, all of this nonsense that we had to put up with. So, for me, that this Reform Party is saying on day one, they would repeal the Equality act." CV, "And we all know what that means. So, you know, the protections against harassment of women in the workplace, the, equal pay, maternity leave, maternity pay, all of those. We're going to scrap all those. So it is indicative of the way in which this might go, as we've seen in America." JOB, "I think talking of ordinary men, the person who pushed back against him on social media was. It was a rather better model of masculinity." CV, "Yes, absolutely. So he's the author, Chris Ryan, who is a former SAS hero, a very successful author. Chris is his pen name. And, he absolutely defended me because he is a real man." CV, "He's not a pretend. He's a real guy and a guy who respects women." JOB, "I suppose, in some sense, the writing was on the wall with the leadership of reform who have not responded by the way, to, our, requests a, response to these allegations of misogyny, including the comments directed at you." JOB, "But when James McMurdoch Ended up in Parliament just after the last election, and, it quickly emerged that he'd been jailed for attacking a former girlfriend." CV, "Yes. And here is another example, a very serious example of, to me, reforms, excuses for things. So I think it was a Times newspaper fact he only got in with a majority of 98." CV, "So imagine if this information had been available beforehand about him. So, shortly after he was elected in 2024 as a Reform MP, I think it was a Times newspaper, found that he had been convicted and served time for, assaulting his girlfriend." CV, "He then said in his defense, oh, it was a push. Then the official court documents show that she was on the floor. He was kicking her multiple times while she was on the floor and had to be, dragged away by two security guards." CV, "Very different stories. Richard Tice then defends it, saying, oh, well, he's served his time. That was a long time ago. It doesn't matter. I am sorry. It matters. It matters to women. We know how much harassment online has increased and offline." CV, "So this is a time for all women to stand up and say, enough now, we are not going backwards." JOB, "I suppose one example is. It could be chalked up as accidental or carelessness. But two examples and emerging patterns speak of something altogether more sinister." CV, "Yes, well, Lee Anderson, bless him, when he was a Tory. That was after he was a Labour." JOB, "Yes." CV, "And now he's a Reform." JOB, "Correct. Well, at the time of this conversation, we'll have to check before we play it" CV, "out on the program tomorrow. Yeah, so he was, in the Conservative Party at the time and he was slinging insults to me all the time on Twitter in, the days when we used to be on Twitter. And, you know, obviously now he's reformed, he thinks it's perfectly acceptable." CV, "So there is a pattern there with this party. And, that is my concern that they will, if they get into, and they've stated it out in the open, we will repeal the Equality Act." JOB, "It's surprising to me when people like Danny Kruger talk about ordinary people. An ordinary man for an ordinary man." CV, "When he went to Eton." JOB, "Yeah. And, well, also his mother is on telly as well, so, you know, he or she at, at least will be aware of the misogyny that police. Yeah, yeah. You think that that might have given him a slightly more sensitive insight into what it's like for women like you. And, and you are tough. I mean, I don't mean that in a patronizing way." CV, "I take it as a compliment." JOB, "Good, I'm glad you do because you are perfectly capable of looking after yourself. A lot of women, both online and offline, are not, of course, and those are the kind of women that, misogynistic men prey on." CV, "But the thing is, I, I have a tough skin now because of all of the abuse over decades. And it. You know, I can remember when I wore a short skirt to the BAFTAs. I was age 39. Well, it was like I'd killed my grandmother the next day." CV, "It was the quest. Even the BBC made a whole Kilroy show about it. Flew this dress in copy dress from Paris. And, the question was, should a woman age 39 wear a dress above the knee? Jeez, I mean, that's my lifetime. This isn't Victorian days or my mother or post war." CV, "This is me in my lifetime. So, you know, as I go back to the beginning, women my age who love the fact that our daughters or nieces, or grandchildren have, can play football, you know, very happily can be applauded for what they do in sport." CV, "Can be. Oh, another thing that I'll, Kenyon said was that women can't referee, drive, take directions. And he had a go at various female sports presenters on the telly. You know, it's constant, it's consistent." JOB, "So they're not, they're not up to the job. They're only there to tick a box. And then declaring and From a political point of view, this is interesting actually stating I'm sexist. Sorry, but I am." CV, "Yeah." JOB, "And then the defense from reform UK becomes. These comments were made before he entered politics. He's perfectly entitled to his own personal opinions." CV, "That was three weeks ago." JOB, "Yeah, yeah. It's extraordinary that he can state that because Murdoch didn't get dropped by the party for the conviction for battering his ex, he got dropped after it emerged that he'd taken Covid loans out under the COVID support scheme. I think that's still ongoing." JOB, "But to state I am sexist, sorry, but I am in 2024 would have probably been a career ending revelation. Do you think? We're going a bit backwards, But I think we" CV, "have the potential to go backwards and we now, you know, generally you go, life's good. You know, doing this, that and the other. When I began my career as an engineer, funnily enough, not many women then were talking about having a career because not Many women have been to university and all of that." CV, "Now, thankfully, decades later, women are having careers. But also, housing was a lot cheaper then. So now we need to. You need, two incomes to fund a mortgage generally in this country." CV, "So the whole business of, oh, well, we're going to scrap the law that says about equal pay. That's going to affect people directly. And this is what I want people to understand, really. This is. This is not just about a woman getting on a high horse about something." CV, "This is very, very, very. Couldn't be more serious." JOB, "And, yeah, it is, of course, people like Nigel Farage and Sarah Potchin who claim that they're the party dedicated to protecting women and children. I mean, it's beyond irony. It emerged yesterday that one in five of the people arrested over the riots in 2024, which many people feel were fermented by Nigel Farage's social media activ." JOB, "Five of the people arrested over those riots have since been reported to the police for domestic abuse. So to simultaneously encourage and excuse the misogyny that's been directed at you and at other women while claiming. And, of course, to put a violent offender into Parliament and say that that's not an excluding offense while simultaneously claiming that they act for women and children is, It's beyond parody, isn't it?" CV, "And those same people who were arrested, there were almost 900 of them, weren't there? About the riots across the country at the time, 41% had already, been reported to the police for domestic abuse." JOB, "So who are the women and children they're dedicated to protecting?" CV, "Well, quite." JOB, "And who are they protecting them from?" CV, "None." JOB, "It's good to see you. I knew that you would be, perturbed by this, but." CV, "I am." JOB, "But enraged?" CV, "Yes, I am." JOB, "And are you expecting an apology? I know you've demanded." CV, "Well, I can't." JOB, "You did not demand anything." CV, "I can't demand anything. I have asked for an apology. Not for me." JOB, "No." CV, "But for all of us. And for his comments so far. I just think we're on day three. Nothing." JOB, "Not even a whisper nothing or a nothing." CV, "He's still running away. Hiding away from cameras, maybe." JOB, "Don't hold your breath, Carol. Thank you." CV, "Thanks, James." JOB, "Still waiting. I hope she didn't hold her breath. We got a statement from Reform Councillor Kenyon, made these comments before entering politics. We are confident that he is an excellent candidate who will be a superb local MP for Makerfield. And a full list of all the candidates running there can be found at lbc co uk"
