I have no idea. There were definitely a few story points that could’ve been improved in the OG pitch. But man I would’ve loved to see this universe continue. We never even got to see Darkwing interact with Negaduck

The version that is in production is not related to the DT17 universe. It was pitched but rejected, the one being worked on is related to the OG series and produced by Seth Roagn

It was originally going to but I believe it got changed to be in it own world So the stuff set up in it won't continued

I was simce 2017 set up a afternoon universe but apparently whan chip and Dale came out a few years ago they was deciding to turn it into it own series

To be fair, Jim Cummmings was Darkwing again in one of the Chibiverse episodes. And that Darkwing's appearance was definitely based on DT17's Drake Mallard, who was voiced by Diamantopoulos. I didn't pay much mind since Chibiverse isn't canon to DT17, but still.
