Here's a video of a Russian with an Igla anti-aircraft missile system shooting down one of the most expensive modifications of the Russian Shahed UAV, on which an installed Verba anti-aircraft missile system and a control camera via a mesh network were previously spotted. Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) "Global persistent infrared surveillance continues to be a critical national security space mission." Twelve SBIRS payloads have been launched since the first was sent up in 2006 as NROL-22. This was SBIRS HEO-1. There are Low Earth Orbit (LEO) also in the system that make up 'SBIRS Low,' including scanning and tracking infrared sensors. The stated purposes of SBIRS are Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, Missile Warning, and Technical Intelligence. Space Force's website says that the ground system uses "improved mission processing software." The website continues, "The scanning sensor continuously scans the earth to provide 24/7 global strategic missile warning capability. Data from the scanner also contributes to theater and intelligence missions." Watch this video from Lockheed Martin. "We never forget who we're working for."
