@McClain_on_NFL This is a dumb @$$ question. Wide 9 refers to the D Ends pre snap alignment. That has absolutely nothing to do with a 300+ lb D Tackle that will never play out there.

@McClain_on_NFL It was multiple questions and wasn’t directly like I stated above. Wide 9 also affects the defensive tackles who primarily align as 3 techs. It’s the scheme that revolves around spacing. kayden is a little more than just 300+

Last year they cleaned up 3rd and 4th and short a bit but the last few years it was a stressful situation since we tended to get dominated in very short yardage plays...I wanted the team to draft T'Vondre Sweat previously. Love this pick.

I’m not worried about it , the players we have the coaching staff we have on the defensive side of the ball are going to help this kid out a ton , not saying we can’t miss because we have but we do not miss much on defensive players and I don’t think we missed here at all 🤘

Kayden can move, he’s very quick at the point of attack and will be great for run stopping on early downs and great anchor on goal line stops or 4 and 1! Trust in DeMeco!

Yep I had questions if they’d get a NT but I’m 100% confident in it. He doesn’t appear to be the ultra big NT you see in 3 down fronts either. Seems quicker and a tad lighter to work in 4 man front as dt
