Nick Fuentes thinks Tucker Carlson needs to cool it with the antisemitic remarks. “I'm against blood guilt. Tucker seems to hate Jews. I don't because I'm a Christian and I hate blood guilt.”

Tucker Carlson CREATED the "Christianity rejects blood guilt" line to shield his anti-Semitism — and libel Judaism. Now JD Vance endorses it as a way to FIGHT anti-Semitism. But it gets worse. Tucker's ugliest lie about Judaism is claiming "Christianity alone" rejects "blood guilt" — even though the actual concept ("sins of the father") comes from the Hebrew Bible, with several direct, on-point passages (e.g. - Deut. 24:16, Ezek. 18:20). It's so egregious that literally no one else besides Tucker has claimed that the "Christian Gospel" rejects "blood guilt" and thus also anti-Semitism. (Vance just became the second person, and only during his RJC talk.) This "blood guilt" lie quickly springboards into Judaism supposedly endorsing genocide. Building on the false separation between Christianity & Judaism, Tucker suggests that Jews actually BELIEVE IN "blood guilt," leading the Jewish state to commit genocide — including the intentional murder of women and children — on religious grounds. In his first public airing of his "blood guilt" shtick with British host Harry Cole in October 2025, Tucker spent a few seconds claiming that because of his theory, anti-Semitism was "anti-Christian." But he immediately pivoted to slandering the Jewish state. "[Blood guilt] is not a concept in other religions, I've noticed, but it's a concept in my religion. We reject blood guilt... That is not the perspective of the Israeli government, which is killing women and children in Gaza 'because they're all terrorists because they're all Palestinian.' I'm a Christian. I reject that." In short, Tucker's "blood guilt" argument primarily serves to libel Israel by lying about Judaism. Vance did NOT voice the anti-Jewish, anti-Israel stuff to RJC, obviously, and there are many reasons (including mutual friends that he & I have) to believe that he's not anti-Semitic. But even if Vance completely discards any & all of his friend's anti-Semitic teachings, the fact that he unapologetically consulted with Tucker very recently is deeply troubling. Never mind that it was for discussing anti-Semitism with a Jewish audience. But Tucker also hates a whole litany of things that Republicans love, from free markets to Trump. Yet Vance is STILL taking guidance from the man who has become his boss's most impassioned critic. Why?

I don't think JD Vance knows what a blood libel is. He defines it here as the idea that “because of your genetics, because of your blood, because of your ancestry, you are guilty of a crime that you never committed.” That's not what a blood libel is. The classic blood libel was the fabricated accusation that Jews murdered Christian children and used their blood for religious purposes, most famously in connection with Passover. The power of the blood libel wasn't that every single Jew was personally accused of murdering a child. It was the invention of some monstrous secret Jewish crime, repeated until ordinary people came to believe that Jews were capable of it. What Vance is describing is closer to blood guilt or classical racial prejudice. These people are bad because of their ancestry, ethnicity or religion. That's not really what people like Tucker are doing, at least not yet. Tucker doesn't generally tell his audience that Jews are bad because they were born Jewish. He tells them that Jews, “Zionists,” Chabad, Jewish donors or Israel's American supporters are actually doing terrible things. Part of what makes the blood libel so effective is that it comes with its own defense against accusations of antisemitism. "I don't hate Jews because they're Jewish. I hate them because they're murdering Christian children." The modern version works the same way. "I don't hate Jews because they're Jewish. I hate Israel (read Jews) because they deliberately murder innocent Palestinian children." Not because of any rational explanation such as that children tragically die in war, but because Israelis supposedly want to kill them, enjoy killing them or simply don't care. Understanding what a blood libel actually is would help Vance understand why so many Jews are horrified by what Tucker Carlson has been doing. A perfect example is Tucker's claim that Chabad was helping drive America into a religious war with Iran whose end goal was destroying Al Aqsa and rebuilding the Third Temple. The problem with Tucker isn't that he criticizes Israel. It's the endless production of sinister accusations about Jews and the institutions associated with them, followed by millions of people being told that “these people” are secretly screwing them. And fighting this is difficult because you have to do two things at once. Identify the antisemitic mechanism and dismantle the underlying lie. That's even harder in a global information environment where governments, activists and hostile states have their own reasons for pushing false or wildly distorted claims about Israel and inflaming divisions inside America. Vance says the “core of antisemitism” is the blood libel. And he's right. He just doesn't seem to understand what a blood libel is, or recognize the modern version when it's sitting right next to him.

.JD Vance did not address Tucker Carlson last night RJC. But he repeated a very particular Tucker argument. On anti-Semitism, no less. The source had to be Tucker because only Tucker makes the specific claim — precisely because it is so Biblically illiterate that no serious religious figure would make it. Vance repeated almost entirely Tucker's stock explanation that he can't be anti-Semitic because Christianity rejects the concept of blood guilt, or the notion of sins passing from the father to the son. Crucially, the idea that Christianity opposes anti-Semitism because the Gospel rejects "blood guilt" is uniquely Tucker Carlson's, at least among public figures or published works. No one else relies on this argument for two reasons: (1) It's Biblically illiterate, ignoring that it originated as a Jewish concept (Deut. 24:16, Ezek. 18:20, etc.), and (2) Tucker primarily uses it to lie about Judaism (that it DOES believe in blood guilt) and claim that the Jewish state wants to kill Palestinian children on religious grounds. Vance exhibited the same Biblical ignorance when he cited only to the Christian Gospel for the rejection of sins of the father. Vance was so unfamiliar with this argument and still trying to grasp it that he repeatedly said "blood libel," when he clearly meant "blood guilt." That Vance is getting coached on the intersectionality of the Gospel and anti-Semitism is bad enough. What's worse is that this particular religious myth that Tucker pushes — that "Christianity alone" rejects "blood guilt" — is perhaps his most pernicious libel of Judaism. Tucker uses this lie specifically in order to drive a wedge between those of Jewish and Christian faiths by gaslighting the former and persuading some portion of the latter that the two religions are somehow diametrically opposed to each other. Vance doesn't repeat that lie, thankfully, but what's particularly revealing is that the VP apparently has never before publicly used this "blood guilt" argument. Which means, of course, that he presumably learned it recently. And pretty much the only source for him learning that is... Tucker himself, given that (again) no one else makes this claim. So Vance appears to have prepared for discussing anti-Semitism at RJC by studying with Tucker Carlson. Oy.
