@AFL Stephen McBurney has hopelessly handled this and his answer is just embarrassing. Nick Riewoldt has found the actual problem here in that the AFL is making this up as they go.

@AFL Perfectly stated. And its not just insufficient intent. Its holding the ball - you have to judge to what extent the guy, after taking possession, assessed his options, and made a split second decision to try to take the tackler on, as opposed to just getting tackled straight away

@AFL Nick is going full โold man yells at cloudโ here. The game isnโt โstuffedโ, itโs in great shape, there are things that can be done even better though

@AFL McBurney was a shit umpire and cheat and now he is a total fool as umpires coach/adviser or whatever his role is. There needs to be a clean out in the whole AFL starting from the Commission to managerial positions. Useless bunch of stupid khunts.

@AFL @JVantarakis Nick spot on ๐๐ป

@AFL Nick Daicos sure does look like an umpire

@AFL Nick and Kath still together? @tommybugg

@AFL Easy fix. Make it last touch rule and that will take out the judgement of intent.

@AFL It's one thing to know the rules to officiate as an umpire, it's another thing all together to have a feel for the game, to understand a player's intent. To my mind, too many umpires today don't have this feel for the game. We need more ex-players to take up umpiring.

@AFL Curious. How can you waste time when the clock has stopped?
