Nick it's a difficult question to answer because it's a stupid question....and any journalist worth their salt would have done their research before asking it

Ever wonder why fabulous strong intelligent women such as Francesca Albanese are no longer invited onto OUR BBC but a range of shallow minded, rent a mouth right wingers are?

What Nick is actually asking is why can’t Israel exist as a brutal and aggressive ethnostate that commits genocide and apartheid.

@ZackPolanski Nick is no journalist. He once claimed Alex Salmond didn’t answer his question. I watched it live and Salmond’s answer was more than 7 minutes long.

Is this a difficult answer Mr. Robinson? Oh …. !

Nick needs to retire

Robinson also made it difficult for Zack Polanski to get a word in edgeways, so there's that, too.

He absolutely knows this and doesn't care. It's a politically useful gotcha.

He's not a journalist. He is a sophist paid to deploy simplistic and cynical rhetoric on behalf of the establishment. I'll be kind to him and assume he believes his lies.

She did answer the question. I think Nick just doesn't like the fact she answered it so well.

Can she become a GPEW MP please.

It isn’t even slightly difficult to answer

Martin, you say any journalist “worth their salt” would have done their research. Here’s some. Your expert witness is Francesca Albanese. Her argument is that states have no right to exist, they simply exist, but peoples do have a right to exist, and that’s in international law. She’s right that self-determination belongs to peoples: it’s in Article 1 of the UN Charter and Article 1 of both 1966 Covenants. But it belongs to all peoples. That includes the Jewish people, and Israel is how they exercise it. When people ask whether Israel has a right to exist, that’s what they mean. It’s what Nick asked, and Polanski couldn’t say yes. Then she gives the game away. She says Israel’s existence doesn’t entitle it to erase another people, “not 75 years ago, not now”. Seventy-five years ago isn’t Gaza. It’s 1948. Her objection is to the creation of the state, which is the very question she and you call stupid. For the record, the UN plan in 1947 provided for two states, one Arab and one Jewish. Israel has been a UN member state since 1949. Nick didn’t ask whether Israel can do whatever it likes. He asked whether it has a right to exist. Polanski answered a different question, Albanese answered a different question, and so did you. It isn’t a stupid question. It’s an awkward one for people who don’t want to say their answer out loud.
