Who did the programme makers consult regarding this story line? Obviously it’s a drama but the portrayal of how the Mental Health Act works is wildly inaccurate

Sam has been taking drugs & been bullied so more like psychosis episode not Schizophrenia. They were very quick to label him & they are different disorders. Would need at least 6 months of psychosis for Schizophrenia & Sam only just started seeing things but oddly never at home🤔

Nick is really annoying me atm. Hes making it all about him and his suffering. Hes not thinking about sams welfare at all. Throwing everyone out of the bistro was childish.

Maybe Sam wouldn't be so traumatised if Nick hadn't kept making it all about himself and had actually listened. Though I diagnosed paranoid schizophrenia weeks ago

U just had to do it didn't you 😭 why could u just not let Sam grow up as he is? a nice kind, shy, intelligent little guy who naturally grew up into a kind young man without the issues? Corrie is turning into EE. I stopped watching that yrs ago, after 50yrs it's turning me off

They never would have said he had been sectioned,they would have said held under the mental health act,and would have consulted the parents first of their plan

This storyline is ridiculous. It takes months to diagnose schizophrenia, sometimes longer in children. They need to at least try and reflect real life.

Nick acting all apologetic when he took him to hospital behind his back. A normal person would take their son back home first to speak with them and then think about hospital...

I admired big Brody protecting Dylan and Betty. A great trick luring the group of Manchester ruff'n'tuffs one way so his pals could get away the other. He's a loyal and true friend.

Nick heartbroken? Im heartbroken that long gone are the days of sanitoriums where Sam could be dispatched for life and save us all from this dreary crap , never to be heard from again. Ghastly storyline. Just fare one wants to be entertained with. NOT!

It's always harder for family members when someone is detained under the MHA. The family often get blamed due to lack of the persons insight. If psychotic & paranoid they often believe the family are part of the conspiracy. Family feel immense guilt & need support & reassurance
