🇺🇸🇺🇦 Nick Schifrin presses Jake Sullivan on whether the Biden Admin could have been more decisive in supporting Ukraine with major defense equipment (tanks, F-16s) earlier in the war. Sullivan says none of that matters, and that Ukraine's own manpower shortages are to blame. Evidently Jake never considered that... show more

I will remind everyone that Jake is just a messenger here. The main reason why Ukraine didn't get more equipment sooner is Lloyd Austin and Biden himself.

To be clear, this is not to absolve him of responsibility, but people make the mistake of believing that just because Jake is being out in front of cameras to say these things, he is the primary factor driving the policy. Austin and Brown are far more guilty than Jake is.

@nickschifrin 31 Abrams, 0 F-16s, a small batch of delayed, limited-use ATACMS. Yet the problem is Ukraine not willing to launch meat wave assaults. Sullivanism, ladies & gentlemen.

@nickschifrin You can point to manpower concerns, but this sad attempt to wash his hands of any blame is comical to anyone who's followed this conflict since day 1. History won't be kind to this man and likeminded people.

@nickschifrin This idiot lost Biden the Presidency.

@nickschifrin Policy, deny adequate equipment for first three years resulting in high casualties so we can use lack of personnel as the excuse to deny adequate equipment. According to plan - Biden Administration

@nickschifrin Unbelievable‼️Not even big enough of a man to admit mistakes‼️ Bullshit‼️

@nickschifrin This speaks exactly to the problem. America never gave Ukraine the credit they deserved since the very beginning of the war. This is a Jake Sullivan never ever put him in a position of power again. This is disgraceful.

@nickschifrin Jake Sullivan comes across as a blame shifting son of a b****. He doesn't mention the fact that only minimal examples of tanks and f-16s have been delivered. He doesn't acknowledge the fundamental trade-off between time and lives. his solution seems to be send more lives.
