I’m halfway through all the HC interviews from American Conference media days. Here are my quick notes: - Memphis HC Charles Huff makes national headlines every time he takes the podium - UTSA HC Jeff Traylor seems more calm overhaul. I think his comments about OC Rick Bowie are cool because he’s “getting back” to running the kind of offense that suits his philosophy. - USF HC Brian Hartline has an intensity about him that will be good for a successful team. If they’re not successful though, his shtick could go in the other direction. - Rice HC Scott Abell being so committed to his formula is just cool to see. If they’re get Jacurri Brown rolling, they could be a legit threat and just an annoying team to play. - ECU HC Blake Harrell was cool to hear his perspective on the new coordinators and how he’s excited to shake things up. They have a lot of position battles to sort through in camp. - Tulsa HC Tre Lamb impressed/surprised me the most. Really good energy, coming into his own as a HC and has a sneaky confidence his team will make legit noise this year.

His stats & usage have been tied to the Giants QB play On this key 3rd&8 in a one-score game, he gets wide open for what would've been a game-changing play. The throw was wildly off target. The confusion about whether former Eagles OC, Kevin Patullo, was fired or not isn't that confusing. They never used the word fired. In short, they care about him, value what he has done for the organization, and are allowing him to weigh his options and decide if he wants to come back in a different role. Philadelphia, & their entire front office, are a class org. They value people, respect them, and treat them right. They also know what he has meant to their 2 Super Bowls runs, despite not working out at OC. The players who praised him all season and after the wild-card loss do so with sincerity. It is not lip service or professionalism. They genuinely respect him. Almost every player was asked about him after their loss, nobody wavered in their praise for him. Nick has explained what they are doing, and the players have expressed their role in the season's struggles. Below is from right after the game.

Today, his mother went to the prison where he is being held to collect some of his personal belongings, but she was not allowed to see him and was given no opportunity to contact him. State media have already broadcast a video of what appear to be forced confessions from him. This is why it’s going to take a VERY long time for our USMNT to get to be at the level of the world’s best. I mean look at the footwork from Romero of Argentina in a semifinal match for the World Cup. Under this pressure, a CENTRAL DEFENDER pulls off this dribble to get himself out of trouble …pulling it out of his own ass. It will be a long time before we pull off creating a defender of this caliber able to do this with all the weight on their shoulders as they try and play it out of the back.

He did his condescending laugh as he described how foolish people were for supporting Trump. When he introduced Scott Jennings, he literally laughed at him for being a Republican. When I said Obi doesn’t have a party, they came for my head. A leader that cannot manage ordinary party politics is expected to navigate the complicated politics of a country like Nigeria. If he cannot get party leaders to work with him, how is he going to control NASS to get his critical policies approved in time? As followers, is this how you plan to hold him accountable when he gets into office? A leader that cannot be questioned. This is the type of play I worry about with the Hawks picking up Ben King. At this stage of his career, he should kill a young defender in this position. This should be a simple case of holding position and taking the mark. But where is the body use? Where is the physicality? He has Harry Dean (and credit to Harry for making the spoil) in all sorts of trouble here, but allows him to get to the fall of the ball in a spot King should have owned. He has to be better than this.

Nice changes to a massive inside takeaway with of of my guys James You'll see in the "before" video, James would shoot his hands OUT & away from his body, forcing the club excessively inside & behind him. The momentum of this movement would cause the club to get too far across the line & create an excessive over the top movement, late shallowing & he'd get the club stuck behind & hit block cuts Now, the takeaway is less inside & the momentum of the club now allows him to set the club more down the line at the top, reducing the chances of the club getting stuck behind him I don't mind the little over the top hand path & steeper shaft in transition (relative to P3 - lead arm parallel in the downswing) Still work to do & to perform at speed, but we are getting better! The housemates have been singing praises of what a wonderful man he is. 🥺🙏🏾 Feels good to trend for something positive like this. Don’t get your mind and head clouded with the popular narrative about a person you don’t know in person, please also remember it’s a game, it’s a reality tv show, with more than 20 housemates the camera doesn’t show it all.
