Nick Wright deploys more disingenuous arguments to prevent Jokic from winning awards. Broussard shuts him down. "There is no possible logic to voting for Jokic last year and voting for Jokic this year." "Shai's numbers are better than [Jokic's] numbers last year"

Also this is bullshit. Apparently there's a rule against winning awards if somebody who hasn't won an award is having a great season. Not only does this rule not exist - why would anybody want it to exist??? It sounds awful.

Nick is 100% correct about this: if you think Jokic deserved MVP over Luka last year, then you necessarily have to believe Shai deserves it over Jokic this year; you can't magically believe Jokic deserved both of them by presenting arguments that are wholly contradictory.

They're not contradictory tho. Mavs were the 5th seed. Four teams has better regular seasons just in the western conference.

He’s right, the whole reason Jokic won last year, is the reason Shai is winning this year

living up to the name there pee takes

Nick Wright and SAS are the worst commentators to me and I won't ever listen to them. They are always biased and they are always trying to switch what they think when it suits them.

Ok, there's certainly an an agenda against Jokic. I've never seen anything like it before.

Wright is full of shit and should be embarrassed for not knowing his stats when making an ignorant argument as a sports broadcaster. The only stat Shai was ahead of Jokic last year was PPG (by 4) and SPG (by 0.06) - the rest was all Joker.

Shai’s numbers are not better than Jokic’s last year. Jokic had 47 counting stats (26/12/9) to Shai’s 44 (33/6/5) on better efficiency and while being 1st in almost all advanced stats…which are key indicators of a player’s VALUE.

His argument makes complete sense though. Luka got robbed last year. He carried his team to 50+ wins, averaged 34-9-10, carried through injuries including missing Irving from December-February, and Luka had a 73 point game / 60-20-10 game. But didn’t get it because of seeding

If seeding is the determining factor then how does his argument make sense? Nuggets are 2nd seed? Luka 100% would've won with the 2nd seed.

![“[Jalen Hurts is] playing better, statistically, this year than he was last year. So why would we put the struggles on him? You know who’s not playing as well as they did last year? The offensive line and Saquon Barkley.” Chris Broussard breaks it down:](https://image.24vids.com/tw-1991616602488398125/media/G6OkCedWQAAkQde.jpg)
