Nick Wright on the narrative that Michael Jordan would be good at 3s if he ‘wanted to’ 😬 “There was a brief stretch of time where Jordan was a good 3PT shooter. That period was when they moved the line in. As soon as they moved the line back... show more

That’s not the narrative Its if MJ played in the modern nba, he’d work on his 3s to the point that it would be a respectable 3pt shot Nick is acting as if it’s impossible for players to work on their game. It’s not. Jimmy Butler got better at 3s in this era. Brook Lopez too.

I LOVE Debunking His BULLSHIT

Who gives a rat’s ass? Michael Jordan dominated the league without utilizing the 3. FUN FACT: MJ set the record for most 3s in a half in a Finals game. Jordan also shot 42% (24/57) from 3 in Finals of his first 3peat from the ORIGINAL 3pt distance. Nick has no credibility.

Before Steph changed the game, Lebron shot 29% 31.5% and 31.9% from 3P. MJ didn’t have the benefit of playing in the Steph Era where every team made you play like Steph. MJ played in a center’s league, where being a dominat guard meant driving and posting up.

Jordan is one of the most insanely obsessive athletes. If it was a larger part of the game. He would’ve worked endlessly at it. The years he shot more threes his percentage was better.

Mf talking about 3s when lebron cant do the most fundamental thing in basketball. Make his free throws lmao. The avg person can make 50pct of his free throws.

MJ % in single games based on # of 3P attempts: 54.8% 3P on 7+ avg 40 points. 40% 3P on 6+ avg 37.9 points. 40% 3P on 5+ avg 36.4 points. 39.7% 3P on 4+ avg 35.3 points. 36.2% 3P on 3+ avg 34.2 points. 32.2% 3P on 2+ . 30.1% 3P on 1+ . 21% 3P on 1 or less 3P attempts

Nick Wrong at it again. It’s pretty simple. When he shoots around 2 or more a game, 35% or more. When he doesn’t it’s low. Which means to anyone with common sense who isn’t trying to push a narrative, when it’s part of his game he did it well, when it’s not he doesn’t, but shooting one a game doesn’t effect the game. He could be zero percent, it could half court heaves, end of quarter shots, you know the ones the NBA doesn’t count now to keep players averages higher.

How can a geek assume he wouldn’t be good and this man never played s lick of pro ball 😂😂 all that stat geek talk does not define anything.

Anyone who listens to nick wrights no basketball knowing ass and try’s to validate his stupid takes is even dumber than nick wright 😂…. The greatest basketball player ever some how would not have been able to shoot 3’s if that’s what was dictating the game flow while he played… nick wright is even dumber than I originally thought…

If Lebron's goat case was that strong Nick Wright wouldn't have to try to discredit Jordan EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I know this, I rather trust the man who can hit free throws with his eyes closed, than the one who misses the whole rim with his eyes open. IYKTYK

The league did not prioritize 3PT shooting during Jordan’s career. Michael Jordan was an elite competitor, he would have developed a 3PT shot if that’s what he needed to dominate offensively.

I think Nick phrased it wrong. It’s not that he chose to be bad at it, but he didn’t choose to be great at it. That’s the point.

He’s lying, he shot 38% on 3 attempt attempts in 89 and 36% on 3 attempts in 93 from the old line, whenever he shot 3’s at any decent volume he shot them well

Jordan shot the 3-ball at right around the league average for most of his career. Like wow...the one weakness in his game was something he was just okay at in an era where it wasn't prioritized. Big deal.

Of course u believe him🤦🏾, but if u do a drop of research yourself u would notice he left out a lot of stuff on purpose bc he knew how u delusionals run with it without research

Nick bron be airballing shit but I digress

Yeah im so sure a human being who can shoot midranges and free throws would not be able to figure out shooting farther out. Do you people think humans were throwing rocks and living in caves in the 90s. Our brains are the same lol. If he had the mechanics down 3ptrs are hard lol

You just need to look at a player's mechanics to see if they have potential to be a lock down outside shooter if they worked on it. MJ's mechanics are near perfect. Thats why his perimeter game is elite. He may be the best perimeter player of all time.

I can’t stand this Klutch Sports bozo. Paid to talk positive about his daddy and disparage anyone else. F’ing pathetic

If the game was to shoot threes like in today’s game Jordan and players in other eras would be just as good as today’s players shooting threes. Stop with the nonsense.

The point is he didn't spend his time there and didn't need to be a 3 pt shooter when no one could stop the bulls

In the NBA finals againt portland man went 6/6 in the 1 st half. That is a good enough sample size.

He never shot 4 a game and his lowest percentage during those years was 37%. His highest was 50%. He had 2 years prior to the change averaging around 3 a game and he shot 37 and 35%. It wasn’t his game but he was far from incapable.

Nobodys suggesting “he chose to be bad at something” You nitwit. They’re saying if he decided to become a one dimensional player like many today and focused exclusively on 3 point shooting he could’ve done it. Instead he was just the greatest all around basketball player ever.

I wonder how Jordan did in the playoffs from behind the arc.

When Jordan went to college, there was no 3-point line. He didn’t come up shooting from distance like the shooters today. What’s LeBum’s excuse? I can’t believe you people get paid to do this. You don’t know ball at all.

If LeBron became a good 3pt shooter, why couldn’t Jordan? LeBron was so bad a shooter that it cost him a ring. MJ was an average 3 pt shooter for his era, his era though only shot 8 3pt attempts per game, not the 35 plus per team in this era. More practice equals more success.

If MJ wanted to be a good 3pt shooter he probably could have. However, it would require a change. His mid range shot was a high jump flat ball. That doesn't work from 3. He would have to work on a different technique. His FT% suggests he possessed the skill to do it.

Imagine thinking in a league where every great perImeter scorer has a 3 ball - that the best perimeter scorer ever wouldnt have one, even with every sign confirming Jordan was an excellent shooter in general. The desparate flailing and chucking of critical thought is W I L D

Get this: Andre Drummond shot 18-for-140 from three in his first 13 years in the league. This year? He's shooting 22-for-65. And you're telling me that guys who were outside shooters then wouldn't develop a three-point shot now?? BTW MJ shot 92-245 (37.6%) in '92.

Sga is not rlly a shooter but he’s already in top guard conversations. If MJ was raised in this era he’d be a decent shooter at worse. Buh This idea that he’d be Ben Simmons is just Disingenuous Rage Bait.
