.nick wright's 3 rule changes to unequivocally improve the NBA

Let’s just get rid of all strategy in the game then, no more plays and no more game plans. Fouling up 3 is only an issue when it’s elimination basketball and so much focus is on one game of a series. The other team also has to make FTs or else you risk losing like OKC in game 1 of the Nuggets series. I’m glad these guys found a company to pay them for their thoughts and opinions but these analysts don’t give a damn about the game.

@getnickwright Third rule is ridiculous. What about when teams need to foul quickly BECAUSE they are down? They just don’t have a chance to win the game if they can’t herd the other team inside the 3 point line for a foul? Rules can’t only benefit one team.

@getnickwright Or how about just not be down three with less than 24 seconds left. There should be an advantage for the team ahead in that case and not every team fouls up three to begin with so this is not a widespread issue.

@getnickwright Last one is an issue for me. It certainly solves the fouling up three problem, but it also ruins fouling when you are down.

@getnickwright I also think if a player is on a fast break and the other team tries to foul but the player on the fast break gets away, letting the refs not blow the whistle and grant the player the layup/dunk would be fine too.

@getnickwright 30 yr basketball fan here and I could not care less about any of these rule changes. First, who cares if players twirl their fingers. Second, make your free throws. Its strategy. And three, you’re fouling up three, they’re also fouling down three. Could not care less about these.

@getnickwright We gotta stop looking for rule changes every time a team loses. It's embarrassing for an NBA player to shoot 50% FT. Coach can take him out. It's called strategy. Every rule benefits one team, hurts the other team. Damn what happened to competing. You don't want anyone to lose.
