Nicolas Cage in Next was basically playing a man who could see the future before it happened. His ability to see a few minutes ahead made every confrontation unpredictable because he could already see the consequences of his choices and change his actions before they happened

That power would be wasted on me, I’d just use the two-minute rewind to unsay whatever I blurted out in an argument and then still say it again.
