Bottom Line: Maine is a screw ball state with lots of liberal screw ball voters, screw ball Democrat legislators, and a screw ball governor.
I have it on good authority (by that, I mean video) that the Natural Resources Council of Maine plans 8 floating offshore wind arrays in the Gulf of Maine of 200 wind turbines each. But they say it might be as few as 1,000 turbines total, not the 1,600 turbine upper limit.

We have vacationed in Maine for well over 20 years happily making the 12+hour drive. It truly is a beautiful state with interesting thoughtful citizens for the most part. We had seriously considered retiring there and were casually looking at lake/pond/river side homes. Our last trip in 2023 we really noticed how much it had changed. This might sound horrible but you can gauge a area by how clean the Walmart is. I had never seen cleaner until 2023. So much so we know we dodged a bullet. Everything has changed. Sure there are pockets of what it was like prior to Biden/Covid. The politics of destroying the absolute beauty of the state and how people make a living is what we noticed too. I pray y’all rise up and demand better. True Mainers deserve to be the people in charge of their natural resources and industries. This Virginian is rooting for y’all and the marine life in our oceans.
Wind turbines are the largest, most expensive, diversionary “Red Herrings” on the planet earth. They spin around for the purpose of laundering money. They buy votes, allow for bribes, kickbacks, and more They kill whales and birds. They are not reliable. They mess up the grid.
Is greedy @GovJanetMills concerned? I doubt it.
