Nigel Farage is completely correct about indenturing doctors whose training was paid for by the taxpayer. If your education and career is paid for by someone else, you owe them something in return.

Weird, Owen turns out to be a free-market capitalist who believes in global labour arbitrage.

Just like the last debate Owen had with that zoomer, the conservative is actually engaging in substantive debate whilst Owen just pulls on the magic money tree. How is this his life’s work?

Every company, civil service and local government department have a learning agreement with its staff. That if they were to leave within a set period of time after finishing training then they will have to pay the money back for the training provided. It is a common practice. That money gets taken away from people's salary or other means. It is not that much of a wild proposition to think a different version of a similar agreement could not be done in this case. So, yes I do agree with Farage on it.

Jones going against his (alleged) socialist principles, by suggesting doctors have the 'freedom' to indulge in free-market capitalism? (Something he normally decries) I HATE Owen Jones (almost as much as he does)

It's so funny that Owen Jones thinks he has got Farage to make a gaffe and say something outrageous, when in fact everyone agrees with Farage and thinks his proposal is eminently sensible. This shows that the Left are just completely out of touch with public opinion.

His point about taking doctors from Mali is spot on. Its very unethical to poach a doctor from a Third World country when their own people would benefit from their skills.

Isn't the average student debt of a doctor, somewhere in the vicinity of £70k & upwards, because neither the government nor the NHS pay for the mandatory education requirements? Doctors also have to pay for their own registration, along with other ongoing fees.

Owen jones absolutely embarrassing himself every time he comes up against someone with a different viewpoint, when it's not on a heavily in his favour panel with a hand-picked audience.

NHS doctors are indentured by the training system. It takes around ten years to reach consultant here. 5 in US and other countries. That results in a captive, high skilled workforce of doctors with an artificially depressed wage. I hate Owen Jones. But that’s the truth.
