Strictly speaking he UK Prime Minister does not have direct control over the judiciary. The UK operates under a system known as judicial independence, meaning the judiciary is separate from the executive (the government) and the legislature (Parliament). HOWEVER you would have to believe in fairies to believe this speech did not change the direction of day to day processes. Within 9 days of this speech of there 419 arrests, within a month 369 of them were in prison.

The Sentencing Act, which came into force this year, allows some offenders to leave jail after serving just a third of their sentences and others just half of theirs. We understand people are angry. We are angry too. Our country’s prison system should never be in this position. Why is it? The last Tory government closed 23 prisons. In 2024, we inherited a system on the brink of collapse. What have we done? We’ve begun a prison building programme that is the largest since the Victorian era. By the next election, more criminals will be behind bars than ever before. But we cannot simply build our way out of the crisis. We have to make changes to the sentencing regime too. Our Prime Minister looked again, and has ensured that rapists and certain child sex offenders are not subject to the changes - alongside 18,000 of the most serious offenders. He would have liked to have gone further but he also has a responsibility to ensure we have sufficient prison places for a functioning law and order system. We will always look at what more can be done. Where there are measures that can be taken to safely develop further capacity, we will take them. 🤨 Jake Richards, the Sentencing Minister, just went on BBC Breakfast and defended releasing two of the men who killed PC Andrew Harper early. His line: “The government have to draw a line at some point because if we don’t, we risk having a prison system in collapse. We will not shy away from making difficult decisions because it’s the right thing to do.” 😡 No! It is categorically NOT the right thing to do! Letting them out early under a prison overcrowding scheme is a national disgrace. Harper’s mother has called it devastating. Police colleagues are threatening legal action. And the government shrugs and says “nothing we can do”. Absolute rubbish. There is something you can do: • Prioritise releasing genuine non-violent offenders first. • There are thousands of people in prison for lower-level or “miscellaneous” offences (perjury and similar). Start there. • There are roughly 10,000 foreign national offenders in our prisons. Deport them. That frees space without putting the killers of a police officer back on the streets early. This is not an inevitable “difficult decision”. It is a choice. Labour is choosing the path of least resistance and calling it courage. Releasing the killers of a serving police officer while claiming your hands are tied is inexcusable. It is a failure of priorities and a betrayal of the public’s most basic expectation of justice. These two should never have been eligible. Reverse it. Block the early release. Do the actual right thing.

NHS staff have been called “monkeys” and patients have refused to be treated by non-white staff as experts report a rise in racism across the health service. The Society of Radiographers (SoR) said staff have reported a “noticeable” rise in racism from patients over the last 18 months, including patients calling staff “dirty foreigners” and talking about “people coming over here, taking our jobs”. Dear ​🇬🇧​, ​​ ​​We junior doctors are set to launch another period of strikes for 5 consecutive days from 24-28 February. ​​ ​​Striking must always be a last resort and I’m furious that we still have to be doing this for a 10th time but with news this week that Rishi Sunak is personally preventing a resolution to the #DoctorsStrike because he doesn’t want nurses and other NHS staff to have their pay restored too — something all of us truly deserve — it’s an absolute necessity that we keep fighting. ​​ ​​It is simply not okay that a qualified doctor working a 48hr/week contract starts at £15/hr with £100,000 student debt and earns far less than our PA colleagues (no shade) who have less training and less debt. It is not okay that our NHS colleagues are visiting food banks. It is not okay that NHS hospitals are crumbling from the catastrophic defunding of the NHS of £400 billion pounds over the last decade. It is not okay that patients are suffering on the longest waiting list in NHS history at over 7.6m. It is not okay that 25,000 people died last year due to preventable delays accessing NHS emergency care. It is not okay that 24 hours in A&E is no longer just a TV show. It is not okay that millions cannot see a GP, an NHS dentist, or receive their Cancer care here in one of the wealthiest countries on Earth. ​​ ​​Until and unless we have safe staffing levels across the country then every one of these shocking failures of this government will not improve. ​​ ​​Without adequate staff, patients will not be protected and their care will continue to be delayed and denied. Pay restoration for NHS staff back to what we were earning in 2008 is not unreasonable and is the only way to stop this catastrophic staff haemorrhage overnight. ​​ ​​So please join us in urging this government to come back to the table, to meet with our elected representatives from The BMA, and to prevent the next round of strikes from taking place. Today in a side room in parliament the government pushed ahead with policy to increase the number of, and role of, Physician Associates PAs are not doctors, nor GPs, and yet they are being phased in as doctor substitutes and GP substitutes - read that again This will create a two tier system of health service, those seen by qualified doctors and GPs, and those seen by PAs We desperately need more doctors and GPs, but instead of training and hiring them (Brexit has made it difficult to bring more in), this Conservative government is watering down the quality of service being offered by the NHS In 2010 the Conservatives inherited the NHS as one of the world's best health services. Since then they have underfunded the NHS, outsourced so we pay more for the same service, and now they're watering down the quality of staff. Shame on anyone who still votes for the Conservative party, because they are destroying our NHS

When asked from where the money will come for reparations, respond that it will come from the federal government as does the money for all of the other times our government has done reparations, the trillions of dollars it has spent in corporate bailouts, on illegal immigrants, on foreign aid, on the military budget, on wars, on debt forgiveness, etc. Do NOT let them stomp you with that question! Yall, we HAVE to understand that most of us have been DELIBERATELY miseducated. The federal government is NOT financed by taxes. The US is a monetary sovereign. Once it accounts for inflation, it can and DOES generate as much money as it needs. See my interview with NewsMax from last year during the spring of 2023.
