Complete and utter lies and bullshit from start to finish. I can't believe Rubio would destroy his own reputation like this. The ICC has no jurisdiction in the United States or over US citizens. The United States is not a state party to the Rome Statute, which founded the International Criminal Court (ICC) in 2002. The sole reason the Trump regime is going after the ICC is to try and protect Netanyahu. The ICC has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, allegeding that he is responsible for the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024. American citizens have nothing to fear from the ICC...

NIGER SAYS ‘GOODBYE FRENCH, HELLO HAUSA!’ Niger has broken free from another colonial chain - the French language - by adopting Hausa as the country’s new national idiom. Along with fellow Alliance of Sahel States members Burkina Faso and Mali, Niger also recently ditched the body representing La Francophonie - i.e., the ‘French speaking’ world (or rather, those parts of the world that had French imposed on them by colonial France). Hausa is one of the most commonly spoken African languages. More Nigerians speak Hausa than French. In 2012, only 20% of Nigerians were literate in French. Switching to Hausa is a powerful affirmation of African heritage, identity and sovereignty.

The International Cricket Council claims to have the toughest anti-discrimination policy in the WORLD! Bold claims from the organisation that has resisted calls for the Afghanistan men’s team to be barred from international cricket while Afghan women and girls suffer gross human rights abuses inflicted by the Taliban. On Wednesday 26 February England’s men walk onto the cricket pitch in Lahore to face Afghanistan’s men in the ICC Champion’s Trophy. It’s worth remembering that the Afghanistan women’s cricket team were forced to flee for their lives when the Taliban took control of their country. Living in exile in Australia they do not have the freedom to play international cricket. The ICC has taken a jobsworth approach to the problem. It’s more than their jobsworth to stand up for the women of Afghanistan despite the precedent of banning South Africa for 21 years over apartheid. One of our WRN Sports Group members has sent this update from ICC headquarters. The ICC has ignored its own moral code. We say to the world: don’t forget Afghan women.
