Night Run, weeks before release, was rejected by Steam. We weren't rejected for featuring NFTs, but for using generative AI art. In this video I talk about what happened, why decentralization matters for game developers and what we're doing next.

Watch the video on YouTube (and enjoy my clickbait thumbnail complete with classic youtuber oh no face😱) here:

Please show your support for Night Run by wishlisting on Epic Games Store. It helps us to get visibility in the store and to show Epic that people care about projects like ours.

A retweet of the first post in this thread is also much appreciated to help us get our message out. We're a small independent team and every bit of grassroots support helps!

Good gen"AI" is based on the unlawful exploitation of people's data. Valve barely recquire you to own the content of your game, it should be the bare minimum.

"We dont want to pay artists, we prefer exploiting them and we want to scam people, then complain that we got removed from steam by breaking their rules." - there, now noone needs to watch the video

play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I'm glad this happened. You are an Indie developer that can't do triple A games, then don't do it, simple. You want to dilute the market further by generating all your way to the top? lol, good luck

Thanks bro

If game developers believe that art assets can be obtained through plagiarism, then it would be reasonable for artists to take your game, replace the art assets with their own and sell it.

I mean yeah thats what you fucking get for using abusive and destructiva technology "Oh no I got arrested for assaulting someone and theft" yeah no shit Sherlock Hope you're banned from any platform for a lifetime

good
