I have a personal gym here in Kansas where I live. I have a sign that states “any video taken in this gym is grounds for removal.” Nobody films while working out.

The worst are the people taking selfies in the gym locker room. Mfer, I don't want my boxers on your insta

Tripods taking over squat racks. some people come to the gym to train. others come to shoot Netflix special.

Yeah, I walked into the gym near me and the first thing I ran into was 4 people with tripods filming. I left and just went and bought some weights now I work out at home with no risk of showing up in someone's video.

Gyms need to start making people keep their phones in lockers or something. Wanna listen to music? Get an mp3 player. You dont need to film every waking moment of your day

F***ing with any camera or “creator” in a gym is IMHO good gym etiquette. Background dancing, nose-picking, and cross-eyed walk-bys are all righteous responses to filming.

Simple fix…put a sign up saying “No video or photographic recording allowed on premises without written consent of management.” Then start kicking out anyone who fails to comply.

Infuencers should have their own gym group. I have people sitting in changing rooms using their bloody phones and pointed in the direction of those changing. Grindr guys taking selfies in them too. Etiquette needs to make a big come back at the gym too, save us @williamhanson

This is where not giving a shit comes in handy. You don’t even stop at the door. You note the tripods and phones and ignore them just like you ignore the people. My headphones are in and noise cancelation is on. I’m not making eye contact, I’m doing my own thing and going home. If I end up on social media, I don’t give a shit cuz I don’t give a shit about the people who were recording. Fuck em. I got my workout in.

Gyms really need to start getting on top of the 3 points of triangulation gym clowns - literally seen they complain to people and they’ve taken up 1/3 of the weight area. If you need a recording to see your for you got bigger problems.

Honestly, if I owned a gym, there wouldnt be any recording devices at all. Phones are to be left in your locker. And Good Behavior would be encouraged with discounts on the next month of membership.

Lol that tiktok was great. I personally don't see recording or streaming your gym sesh as a bad thing but do it when no one else is around and keep it compact. I go very late at night so theres very few people around usually (unless its monday? Monday is so busy for some reason)

This the gym equivalent of that nightmare where you are trying to run away but your legs forgot how to run.

Thank god they don’t allow that at my gym!!! It’s bad enough people are preoccupied with their phones sitting on the machines why’ll I’m waiting to use it. I ask them how many reps you have left or I ask if I can work in with them. That usually gets them going.

There are marks on all our mirrors from where people stick their suction cup phone cases to them so they can film without a tripod 🫠
