![[MBC News] 260701 "BTS Surpasses the Rolling Stones in World Tour Revenue" BTS has become the highest grossing group for a single month thanks to its world tour in May. The group also easily surpassed the record previously set by the legendary British band the Rolling Stones. Recently, Billboard announced that "from May 2 to May 28, BTS generated 190 billion Won in revenue and sold more than 640,000 tickets across 12 concerts." Billboard added that "BTS became the highest grossing and best selling touring group for the month of May." It also explained that this marks the highest monthly revenue ever recorded by a group since the Billboard Boxscore chart was launched in 2019, comfortably surpassing the approximately 140 billion Won record set by the Rolling Stones in August 2019.
