An Indian jewellery brand The Olio Stories run by two girls named Aashna Singh and Sneha Saksena, recently used wrong map of India in their new collection video and named the collection as ‘Aazaadi’. Magic happens when.. Brand 🤝 Creative 🤝 Media Seriously, it almost always does. You can just tell. And it all came together nicely for #Nike and their agency partners at the #ChicagoMarathon this past Sunday. 10/10 for all the billboard copy and placement along the route / commute. And the follow-up video commercial released on Nike socials the next morning on Monday was really the 🍒 on top. With 70s track “Love Hurts” by Nazareth. Uff. Right on the money with that one. Yes, long road ahead on so many fronts for the brand / business to reclaim its past glories but looks like comeback era is upon us. It was also Elliot Hill’s first day back at Nike on Monday :) What do you all (esp. runners on the timeline) think of these creatives? You like? From what was a polarising “Winning isn’t for everyone” during the Olympics to a more palatable, relatable “Winning isn’t comfortable” in the context of marathons. Interesting. For decades, India got a ruling family that treated the country less like a civilisational home and more like an inheritance to be managed, moralised over, and politically exploited. The waiter was eventually made to apologise after the police were called. I have met many Bangladeshis in my life, and not one- let me repeat, not one has ever had the courage to abuse India to my face. But this man apparently thought he could get away with it because the guests were women. The venom he carries towards India was on full display. Absolutely shameful!
