Here we are 👀 There are honestly so many things to say. First of all, I want to thank you all for the insane support, both here and on Twitch. Sometimes I stop and think about how far I’ve come… and if you’ve seen the video about my past, you already know. TCGs mean way more to me than just a game, they literally saved me. And you saved me. My only goal was to win this tournament. I didn’t care about glory or prizes, I had to win it for my Mom This is for her. I’m sure she saw everything that happened today and how many people were there for me ❤️ I want to thank all my friends there are way too many to tag. Usually I’m the one giving them props 🤣 Shoutout to my sister as well, who “blessed” me by saying: “You have a 1 in a million chance to win this tournament.” Well… it was the right timeline 🦋 The final was literally the one I’ve always dreamed of. I’ve always joked with Mirko about playing a final against him, and like I told you, he’s one of the reasons I even started playing TCGs. It really feels closing the circle. I also want to talk about what happened in Top 4. It’s two full days of playing, a lot of pressure, and an insanely high level. You all saw the names in this top cut playing at that level for so long is not easy at all. And I’ll say this clearly: Mirko is one of the most genuine people I know. What happened on feature was an UNINTENTIONAL misplay. It happens everyone has made mistakes like that at least once. Don’t be too harsh, there are bigger problems than that. Life update: Joe and I are now the CEOs of Hampton It was actually a quote from Palmer Luckey that made me want to go all in… (I talk about it in the video below if you want to hear it) Palmer's basically saying something that hit me hard: in business, life, and romance - you gotta commit to a path I want Hampton to be a legacy creating company and that probably won’t happen unless I completely put my flavor into it. I think a lot of founders are in a similar situation - but by keeping all options open, you end up jumping between them... and ultimately failing at all of them

I joined Pledis when I was 16yo and now before I knew it, I've become 32. 🍒 I've spent half of my life at Pledis 🍒 I’m naturally quite competitive. When I was a trainee, I endured those trainee days because I wanted to beat others and come out on top in evaluations. After debuting, seeing so many senior artists doing well, I promoted with the goal of performing on even bigger stages and gaining even more popularity. 🍒 But honestly, I can't remember exactly when it happened. At some point, though, that competitive spirit became less important. What made me happy was simply being on stage with the members. And these days, I've been focusing a lot on how I can repay the love that Carats give us, because receiving that love means so much to me. Part of the reason for all of that is probably the love that the members give me. And I believe the biggest reason is the love I've received from Carats. 🍒 So I just want to tell the members and Carats how grateful I am. 🍒 I think Im going to cry.... auh..... 🍒 I get to keep seeing you all, so it feels a little strange that I'm the one who's crying 🍊(?) You can’t do without me, right? When Polygon first launched i used to ask my team what's it gonna feel like the day we see 50 apps go live on the chain. We hit 50, then 1000 a few months later, then i open a report one day and there are 50,000 and i never even felt us cross any of it. we're just not wired to feel exponential scale, even me after watching it happen once with my own eyes. payments is doing the exact same thing now. $1B a year back, $2B a quarter ago, $5B today. ask me again at the end of the year 👀

Thought today was another really good Scottie Scheffler presser but particularly this answer when talking about dealing with the pressure of the career Grand Slam. "It's kind of a funny thing. It's like, yeah, if I win this tournament, that would be amazing, but I think then I show up the next week, and it's like, okay, now Scottie's won the grand slam, he's won all these golf tournaments. Now where do we go from here? So no matter what, I think as a player and as a professional athlete, you're never going to live up to the expectations of people. I think sometimes that's a little bit of the fallacy in our sport is like, if I win the U.S. Open, then I'm going to be satisfied. I've won all the tournaments, and my career is essentially over, and I've accomplished everything I could want to accomplish. But I think the goal posts are always just moved further and further. Thought today was another really good Scottie Scheffler presser but particularly this answer when talking about dealing with the pressure of the career Grand Slam. "It's kind of a funny thing. It's like, yeah, if I win this tournament, that would be amazing, but I think then I show up the next week, and it's like, okay, now Scottie's won the grand slam, he's won all these golf tournaments. Now where do we go from here? So no matter what, I think as a player and as a professional athlete, you're never going to live up to the expectations of people. I think sometimes that's a little bit of the fallacy in our sport is like, if I win the U.S. Open, then I'm going to be satisfied. I've won all the tournaments, and my career is essentially over, and I've accomplished everything I could want to accomplish. But I think the goal posts are always just moved further and further. This commentary is interesting cause the person he’s describing is literally me One of the biggest reasons Xenoblade 1 is my favorite game of all time is because of how it answers & connects EVERYTHING. The Monado, faced Mechon, Telethias, Alvis — every plot point gets weaved into the story by the end with a answer + reasoning and I fucking LOVEEE that This is honestly why for me personally Xenoblade 2 & 3 don’t hit quite as hard as while the games are amazing, there’s multiple things that are brought up which never get answered at all or are left open-ended / ambiguous. And that’s perfectly fine for some people but it’s the type of shit that keeps me awake at night and going why tf didn’t they just say what the purpose of this scene was or what this thing meant 😭 But from all of this I do think Jake is really gonna love Xenoblade 2 / 3 now cause what he described in terms of how he cares more about the grounded stuff with the characters & party I do feel Xenoblade 2 & 3 excel better at since that is what those games are mainly about Will be very interesting to see the playthroughs for those but yeah sorry for the long tweet. Just wanted to get my thoughts on this out there because it really clicked why I love XC1 so much when he said this haha
