It’s time for Nigeria to establish a unified database. The blood group and fingerprints of all Nigerians should be compiled into a single database, managed by the relevant ministries. This would significantly help in combating crime.

NIMC actually have a nice logo; anyone advising your organization to change it might be looking for an opportunity to swallow as usual. Instead of focusing on unnecessary changes, prioritize fixing what really matters. One key improvement would be to make the National Identification Number (NIN) system more secure and effective, similar to how the Social Security Number (SSN) and Social Insurance Number (SIN) systems work in other countries. A nicer step would be to embrace the use of only the last four digits of the NIN for verification across apps and services, just like how the SSN does it. By asking customers for only the last four digits instead of the full NIN, you significantly reduce the risks associated with identity theft. Many people may not realize the dangers of entering their full NIN on insecure platforms, which can expose them to fraud. By limiting the verification process to the last four digits, you offer a safer and smarter approach to protecting sensitive information. Paripari ẹ, your app doesn’t reflect the level of tech-savviness that exists in a country like Nigeria. Apps like Instacart work far better in comparison to the current NIN app, which raises questions. Is this a case of “my son is a tech, he will do it” kind of arrangement? If so, it's time to rethink the approach. The app should be developed with the end user in mind, utilizing best practices in security and design to meet the standards of a modern, tech-driven society.
