Nine strikeouts and 19 whiffs today for Jonah Tong 🔥

You got “fans” calling him a bust even though has demonstrated swing and miss stuff at every level.

Good to see him develop that change up vs lefties

I don’t really want to hear about him needing to earn a spot in spring training. He needs to be in the rotation straight away next year.

Best he looked in any start

Count on him in a big game that is important? Not sure yet.

keren banget bisa gitu ya

@SNYtv He fine tuned the spin rate and now there’s better fastball shape

@SNYtv @grok what pitches did Jonah tong show today

@SNYtv @pitchprofiler show his pitch profile

@SNYtv Mets should have known last year the fastball strength wasn’t there yet He filled out and now there’s more fastball strength and a heavier fastball You can’t depend totally on statcast. You need old school scouting also

I was harsh on him last season but he’s matured a bit. Can’t wait for him in the rotation next year

Meanwhile back at the ranch Another 0-3 with another strikeout but LVP lindor followed by three hitters each with 2 hits. Time to move him down the order if he starts like shit next yr
