Coastal lagoons and sandbars in Southern California naturally breach all the time from heavy rainfall, high tides, or storms etc. How do y'all think the sand got that way in the first place. It's sand. Water flow and sediment move frequently. This just shows an accelerated version of something that happens naturally and regularly.
