That's what refs are supposed to do, the technology is there. He was big and decent enough to accept he made a mistake and made the correct calls. That's how respect is earned.

Dermot Gallagher: From the referee’view it’s not a penalty, it’s a dive and I understand why the ref has given it. It all depends with the angle. VAR cannot review it because it’s not a clear and obvious error
