Exclusive: Narges Mohammadi: U.S.–Iran Talks That Ignore Human Rights ‘Reinforce Tyranny’ Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi has issued a strong warning to the United States and other world powers: any negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran that sideline human rights “reinforce a tyrannical regime and weaken the Iranian people.” In an exclusive interview on The Sima Sabet Show, Mohammadi insisted that human rights,especially those of women and pro-democracy activists, must be central to all diplomatic efforts with Tehran. Calling the regime “anti-human” and “beyond reform,” Mohammadi described it as criminal and incapable of change. “We, the people of Iran, have made the decision to transition away from this regime,” she said.
