The corrupt departments of Indian Railways only know how to harass and exploit passengers. You won’t see them in overcrowded coaches. You won’t see them when theft or crime happens on trains. But pull the emergency chain, even for a genuine reason, and suddenly that becomes the biggest crime :)

Dear IRCTC, Dear Ashwini Vaishnaw, Date: 23 May 2026 Time: 5:15 AM Train: Golden Temple (12903) This is not a general coach. This is the condition of a sleeper coach. There was not even enough space to walk to the washroom. People were sleeping on the floor, near the doors, and everywhere possible. The TC came and saw everything, but did not say a single word. It looks like this has become normal for Indian Railways. I have sympathy for these passengers, but if Railways already know that general coach passengers are more, then why not add more general coaches? Why are sleeper coaches being turned into general coaches every day? For years, passengers have been raising the same issue, posting photos and videos, tagging officials, and still nothing changes. Indian Railways talks about modernization and new trains, but what about basic crowd management and passenger safety in normal trains? And please, do not ask me for the PNR. Asking for the PNR will not solve this issue. This is not one passenger’s problem. This is the daily reality of thousands of people.

F**k this randomly appeared in my YouTube feed. Our railways still need improvement in punctuality—trains are delayed, and general coaches are overcrowded. But damn compared to the pre-2014 era it was literally a reminder of our economic stagnation from 1947 to the 1980s. Not to mention that human waste used to be dumped directly onto the railway tracks.
