No First Amendment, no democracy. Trump has already gone after universities, journalists, and now comedians. Our job is clear: use our voices, use our rights, and hold truth to power.

There is no reason to think the same President—now bolder than ever in challenging our Constitution—won’t try, once again, to get his way through threats and violence. I won't let Trump rewrite history, and we ALL must use our voices & votes to protect our democracy.

Trump is trying to use a backdoor to build his ballroom through Reconciliation. Just no! Let’s make our voices loud and clear—NO to Donald Trump’s ballroom slush fund! And, if you’re home here in New Mexico, come out and see us on our southern District Tour!

The assault on our rights must stop. Journalists are essential to accountability and truth, and we will fight to protect their work. We will not allow the dismantling of our democracy.

Hunter Biden: "It's not about whether we're gonna lose our democracy. We are already there. [Trump] is a dictator. He has used his position to attempt to jail journalists. He is prosecuting Don Lemon. He tells a woman to be quiet piggy and no one says anything. We have lost our democracy at this point."

We have an anti-first Amendment environment where our rights to free speech are being condemned. We must be able to march, protest, debate, and speak truth to power.

Five years ago today, President Trump incited an attack on our democracy, on the peaceful transfer of power, and on our Capitol Police. Our democracy only works if we fight for it with our voices and our votes—so I'm going to fight for it.

Competition is essential to our economy and democracy. But as the political power of giant corporations grows, they use that power to ensure rules—including antitrust rules—tilt in their favor. These giants damage more than our economy—they corrode foundations of our democracy.

I’ve watched the military take over our streets. I’ve watched our universities be threatened and fined. I’ve watched the Attorney General try to take away your first amendment rights. This a RED ALERT. If we don’t stand up now, the America we once knew will be gone.

When the roots run deep, there’s no need to fear the wind. And here in Illinois, our roots mean we will stand up to Donald Trump, protect our immigrant neighbors, and fight for our rights and democracy.

President Biden already has the power to secure our border. He’s just chosen not to use it - and that’s why we need Donald Trump back in the White House.
