No first baseman was better than Keith Hernandez, who won 11 straight Gold Gloves from 1978-1988. Should Keith be a Hall of Famer?

He should be in the hall just for his stint on Seinfeld

One interesting thing about this is an all time defensive legend, Ozzie Smith, is foiled in getting a base hit by another all time defensive legend, Keith Hernandez! ⚾️

I always thought Hernandez and Mattingly were the best I’ve seen around first base, and they defended perfectly. Fun players to watch—at the plate and in the field.

No, the HOF was and still should be for the elite. 2100 hits and less than 200 HRs is not elite. Good player yes, Great no. But now they are letting in guys with numbers like that but yet Dale Murphy and Mattingly are not in. It’s a joke of a club.

Not much of a mover, though. Marble coffee table, multi-piece sectional, three flights of stairs in a brownstone? C’mon, man. Also, yes. Definite all-time great.

.296 lifetime ba, 11 gold gloves, MVP. Hate the Mets but I’m saying yes to HOF for Keith
