No, folks. Please watch the full panel discussion —or at least the segment that sparked the "beef and mutton" debacle —to truly understand Gov. Lesetja’s perspective. Mocking him based on this short clip is both unfair and misleading. He brought a global perspective to a largely U.S.-focused discussion, emphasizing... show more

You just made it worse. Now this clearly shows he has no fucken idea

@fntse Mxm! I just fell in love with you Asante, asivele sibemunye. You captured him correctly, it is just that the clip can be misleading. Come here, let me hug you 🫂

@fntse Thank you! 💐💐💐 Context is everything.

𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐭 The liberal establishment has abandoned their base and emboldened Trump to capture voters who are disillusioned with the status quo. We need to move forward to build a legitimate working class coalition... ★ NEW ARTICLE ⬇️

@fntse Perfect explanation. But people on X see what they want to see and run with it. Reading at the comments, you can see people have no clue what he actually said, to the point they refer a highly qualified governor of the highest bank a politically appointee says a lot;

@fntse Listen I disagree with the Governor on how he manages our economy through SARB. But on this one I fully agree with him, I think they set him up on that panel because it was not balanced.

@fntse Bitcoin has 0 value. The day the power goes off, the bits and their coins are gone.

@fntse Yes. Thank you. South Africa (SARB) has been much more progressive in this space than many other countries. I think what he's trying to say is why specifically bitcoin, why not other crypto which does the same thing as bitcoin, but better etc.

This is terrible. The governor has no clue about bitcoin, and is quite frankly an embarrassment to South Africa. The conversation here is about strategic reserves, and for a government allocating 5% of those reserves to bitcoin makes sense in 2025. Unless you're stuck in the past, which most of the SA government appears to be.

@fntse There is no way America is going for bitcoin reserve it's scarce it has small eco system, it's dependent on technology that can be affected by like energy it's susceptible unless bitcoin is pegged on commodity like gold it remains hot air

@fntse Normally people make comments without getting full context
