UPDATE: The damage was very limited and caused almost no damage. Footage from on the ground reporting shows where the improvised explosive was activated, damaging only a vehicle and the ground itself. The main objective was to create fear. Situation is fully under control.

ArianeGroup and the European Space Agency (ESA) have signed a new contract under the Future Launchers Preparatory Programme to continue the development of the GRETA rocket engine. 🚀 The agreement follows a successful hot-fire campaign completed in 2025 in Germany. The German contribution to the development of GRETA is coordinated by Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur. GRETA explores hydrogen peroxide and ethanol as alternatives to traditional hypergolic propellants, introducing new ignition and combustion challenges while improving sustainability and handling safety. 🔥 The campaign delivered critical data on combustion performance and cooling behaviour. Dash Cam Captures Umlazi Vehicle Hijacking as Criminals Dump Goods A group of criminals in Umlazi hijacked a vehicle loaded with goods, forcing the driver to lie on the ground before driving away and discarding the cargo. The incident unfolded when the assailants stopped the vehicle and compelled the driver to exit and lie down. They then took control of the vehicle and proceeded to dump the goods it was carrying. Reports indicate that the vehicle was later recovered, but the goods were no longer inside. The entire event was recorded by a dashboard camera installed in the vehicle. The criminals appeared unaware that the camera was actively recording.
