Listen it’s not how the ring works. However. The rule of cool however supersedes.

How about,, now this is a kicker,,, we actually have fun with these ideas and stop being so serious about a shark man with the IQ of a walnut wielding a magic ring!! Just an idea 😃

It's like the game had a raging hate boner for Green Lantern the most for some stupid reason.

Green Lantern was using the ring to kill civilians, to do someone else's will. Braniac probably tampered with the ring to allow evil Green Lantern to use it and also others by the definition. It helps that in the game King Shark is very strong willed anyways.

Firstly, Sinestro is a thing. You don't need to reach. Second, none of this is in the story. Lastly, the ring should have left immediately after John died.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a non-canon spin-off that came out of the writer's wet dream and ultrafeminist superiority fetish Change my mind 🥴😂🤣

This scene tells me just how much the writers understand how the green lantern works.

On one hand, it's very possible the writers never picked up a DC comic before; in that same logic though, the ring should've flown off a long time ago. On the other hand, suspend your disbelief for the whole 2 minutes that is this scene, and Green Lantern King Shark goes hard.
