Dr. Tara Palmatier, who has two PhDs and specializes in couples, narcissism, and BPD conditions, gave a great talk a decade ago discussing gynocentrism and the social contract that's been essentially broken by women. She cited research from the "narcissism epidemic: living in the age of entitlement" showing a 67% increase in narcissism almost entirely amongst women in the last 20 years with the rise of social media, dating apps, and smartphones.

I half agree and half disagree. I know a LOT of women that match her description perfectly, but I know an equal number of women who are absolute people pleasers and allow themselves to be abused and pushed around because they don't know what they want or how to speak as adults. They blame every issue on themselves and only ever put their partners on a pedestal. Both come from a lack of accountability, but in very different ways.
