That may be true for a tiny portion. A lot of men aren’t avoiding single moms because of some deep principle. They’re avoiding the reminder that another man walked away and that deep down they see pieces of themselves.

Perfectly said. I dated a woman for a couple years, build a great relationship with her sons, even taught them how to throw a football correctly. She died to colon cancer and the kids moved with their father who didn’t allow the sons to reach out. I get it, but they were sad

He didn’t even bring the part about discipline. Will the mother allow you to discipline the child? What does the biological father say about that? That’s a whole new headache. He also didn’t throw in that if the biological father is around that’s puts the step dad further down the pecking order of loyalty from the kids.

The reason why men don’t want to date single women is because they don’t want to deal with the drama of dealing with the child’s father.. a lot of men like to use child as a way to keep whatever connection with the mother.

You date a single mother , you are not allowed to discipline her kids, her kids won’t fully see you as their dad even when they try , you raise another man’s kids who won’t do nothing for you when you get old, no benefit just atm donation

The issue with folks speaking on subjects like this with generality is that it makes them look insane or blind to examples that says otherwise, ppl use what can be considered stereotypes to make ill-informed judgments like this, meanwhile statistics say something else.

That may be true in SOME cases but what about the men the children have. When the woman had to take on the other woman /baby mom. Of neither person is healed nor have learned how to properly engage and respectful (and not have this entitled behavior) then it could work.

He is 100% right! However, I was a single mom with 2 toddlers and one that has severe special needs. My husband and I have been married happily for 15 years. So I’m really one of the lucky few ig.

Remember there are also grandparents involved. My son married a woman with 3 kids. I embraced them, loved them and spent a lot of time with them. When she left him, I was devastated along with him. He loved those kids. She cut off all contact.

It's worse when you find out she's actually an awful parent.
