No matter how much pressure their far-left base is exerting, we still need some Democrats to do the right thing. We need just five more Democrats to join us to get this government working again for the American people.

Republicans are simply trying to fund the government so we can get back to the normal appropriations process. Democrats have tried to make it about everything else. We need just five Democrats to see beyond the demands of their far-left base and join us to open the government.

SEN. THUNE: “We need five bold, courageous Democrats with a backbone who are willing to take on their far-left activist base—and join us in passing this.”

When their far-left base demanded a showdown with the president, Democrats fell in line. Now the American people are suffering the consequences. I hope a few more Democrats will join us to pass this resolution and reopen the government.

Democrats’ motivation is pleasing their far-left base and preserving their political careers. Meanwhile, military families are lining up at food banks, and flights are delayed because of understaffed airport towers. We need to reopen the government for the American people.

It’s been one week since Democrats shut down the government and put their far-left base before the American people. If just a handful of Senate Democrats would join Republicans, we could end this shutdown in a matter of hours and continue the bipartisan appropriations process.

From farmers to firefighters, Americans step up when we need them most. But when Americans need their government, DEMOCRATS PUT ILLEGAL ALIENS FIRST. Democrats—it’s time to do the right thing. Open the government. cc: Chuck Schumer

So far three of my Democrat colleagues have joined Republicans to attempt to reopen the government. If we can get just a few more Democrats to join us, we can end this shutdown and get back to bipartisan appropriations work and the business of the American people.

The #SchumerShutdown is costing people all over the country, including our troops, air traffic controllers, and border patrol agents. Democrats need to come to their senses, do the right thing for the American people, and vote to reopen the government.

Remember the last time the Democrats shut down the government … this was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s response when the government was opened again. She was speaking for all the Democrats. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: "WE JUST NEED TO HURT WORKING AMERICANS MORE!” "The lesson that they're learning is that Democrats are WEAK... and that next time we just need to hurt working people and working Americans MORE to get them to fold.” Make sure you all continue to spread the Democrats propaganda far and wide! REMEMBER … Democrats DSA are not happy unless Real Americans are suffering … they all care more for i11£gals and they HATE anyone in any branch of law enforcement! CC: Senate Democrats Senate Republicans House Democrats House Republicans President Donald J. Trump Vice President JD Vance Speaker Mike Johnson

.Speaker Mike Johnson: Democrats are the ones that have voted now 14 times to close the government and impose all of this pain on the American people... We are appealing to whatever moderate and centrist Democrats are left in the Senate to do the right thing for the people.

There is a bill sitting at the Senate desk right now that opens up the government. The president would sign it today. All we need is five Democrats to join the three Democrats who have already voted to open up the government.
