What? The owners got old and the kids went to college and probably became scientists or doctors. A restaurant is a stepping stone to better your family. Its not the end game, especially for Asians.

From what I know about what these Chinese people are going through here in America is that the values that Chinese people try to impress upon their children here in America aren’t being received like they would in China and in Japan and in the Asian nations. Out fair culture and legacy is extremely important. It’s why they don’t just allow people to migrate and integrate into their societies as simply as we do here in America. And this is one of those aspects of what took place. Asian children don’t want to take over their parents restaurants. Maybe their parents took over their grandparents restaurants, but the current generations don’t care about their parents and their grandparents is struggles and sacrifices, and successes enough to actually want to take over the restaurant and the legacy. So these Asian businesses have to close. It’s happened to multiple Asian restaurants here in my city. And we know the parents and the grandparents of these Asian restaurants and this is exactly what they’re saying their kids don’t give a fuck. And that’s just an American thing. But if they were still in China, then they would be working for their parents’s restaurants because the importance of legacy would be easier to instill.

For DECADES!!! We have been their main customers. I’m glad we are finally starting to wake up!!! All we have to do now is ACTUALLY UNITE!!! The boycott is fine but we’re still killing each other EVERY DAY over STUPID SHIT!!! WE have become our own worst enemies.

And when those Chinese restaurants close that’s when we open those soul food spots, brunch spots, lunch/dinner, coffee shops,bakery’s, etc!!! 💁🏽‍♀️

What the Chinese don’t get it-is: They’re an Eyesore in more affluent areas, businesses wouldn’t thrive. I’m guessing whites, prolly block Asian businesses out, just like Asian’s block out Black businesses with their joint Monopolistic practices.

Please these Chinese restaurants because they were opened by boomer generations are going through the same issues as other mom and pops stores opened by the same boomers regardless of race. Their children don’t want to carry on those businesses. It’s not that hard to understand.
