I have not seen enough about the decision from Mike Vrabel and Tim Kelly to go for 2 down by 8 last night. Here’s why I loved it: 1) NFL teams this season have been successful on 55% of two-point conversion attempts. The odds were in the Titans’ favor. 2) Will Levis was dealing in the 2nd half. 3) Titans still had all three timeouts and the two-minute warning. 4) Miami struggled to move the ball on offense all night. Their three scoring drives went for 12, 7, and 59 yards. 5) If successful on the two-point conversion, a stop on defense and a TD wins the game. If unsuccessful, you can still send it to OT. 6) Titans offense marched down the field, scored the TD to make it a one possession game and essentially told Miami, “we are going for two because we know you cannot stop us right now.” The odds are in your favor. It’s a good mathematical decision. You want to psych out an opposing offense? Give them the ball knowing they need to run the clock out, or you are going to have a chance to WIN the game, not send it to overtime. They saw what your offense just did to their defense. They saw your QB on the sideline screaming and hyping everyone up. Cutting the lead to six put WAY more pressure on the Dolphins offense. You want to hype up your defense? Put them back on the field knowing your offense just did their job. Put them back on the field knowing a stop and a TD wins it. At that point, they aren’t in the mindset of “we need a stop to have a chance to go to OT.” They are thinking, “let’s go out here, get a stop, and give our offense a chance to WIN.” There’s a fundamental difference in playing to WIN and playing NOT to LOSE. This was a decision by a coaching staff that was playing to WIN. Brilliant game by Vrabel and Kelly. Brilliant execution late in the game by the offense and the defense. Completely out-coached one of the best offensive minds in the game. #Titans

He was 13, and his whole life had been the backyard and the same worn spot on the living room rug. The kids wanted him to see something big before he went. He moved slow getting out of the van. His back legs weren't what they used to be, and the boys had to help him down onto the sand. For a second he just stood there at the top of the beach, nose up, taking in all that salt air and open water like he couldn't quite believe it. Then something in him shifted. He started down toward the surf on his own, stiff and determined, the way he used to trot to the door when the kids came home from school. When the first cold wave washed over his paws, his whole face lit up. He didn't run, he couldn't, but he waded in up to his chest and stood in the shallow water with the sun going down behind him, and the whole family just watched. Nobody said much. They didn't need to. They stayed until the light was almost gone, taking pictures, letting Baxter rest against their legs, giving him one perfect afternoon to hold onto. I went to Universal Soul Circus last night. Brought back so many memories. But I can’t help it. I noticed the take over. Lots of Caribbean, Latin and African heritage being promoted in the performance. Not enough soul in the performance…..like it was when I was a kid. 🚨 GARY NEVILLE ON ARSENAL WINNING THE COMMUNITY SHIELD 🗣️ I’ll be honest, I don’t see Arsenal winning the Premier League this season. They’ve had some very good seasons under Mikel Arteta, but there’s still one thing they haven’t managed to do — win the Premier League in back-to-back seasons. Winning the Community Shield against Manchester City is a good start, and Arsenal fans have every right to enjoy it. But that doesn’t suddenly make them favourites to win the league. For me, the biggest concern is their attack. I still don’t see Arsenal having enough elite attackers who can consistently produce at the highest level when the pressure is on. The Premier League is a completely different challenge. It’s 38 games, consistency, pressure and handling the big moments when the season gets difficult. Until Arsenal prove they can win the title again, I’m not convinced they can do it. They’ve got a very good team, but without elite attackers making the difference week after week, I just don’t see Arsenal winning the league again.

Keep an eye on Saka here. Arsenal were 1-0 down when he had a huge opportunity to make it 1-1. An open chance, and he put it straight at the goalkeeper. Brighton immediately counter-attacked and scored the second goal, while Saka was still lying on the ground in front of the goalkeeper. Arsenal fans protecting Saka are the worst. He’s on £300k a week and is the highest earner at Arsenal. He should be showing why he’s the highest earner. We’re not paying him that kind of money to be ordinary. Saka needs to work harder, step up and show the level we know he’s capable of. Criticising his performances doesn’t mean we don’t support him.
