Yes it was sad but at the same time I believe it was the Lord giving us a blueprint for what’s to come with the mark. Daniel 11 says those that take the mark will be made “rulers over many” which I think will be almost exactly like what we went thru with the jabbers vs the unjabbers.

How do I prepare physically?

Think about what you'll be going through the moment that the bottom drops out and what you would need to get you through that initial shock. It will come down to divine protection ultimately, but having a little prep in order for that moment it hits will let you breath easy and start to help others.
