Hello Rebecca, I’m curious why the report does not mention the prevalence of after school madrasas. These are extremely common, with significant teachings on gender segregation, but are not regulated by Ofsted.

Well said! Note that my ridiculous regulator, the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries objected to my criticising the practices of child marriage, child sex, sexual slavery, wife beating and Female Genital Mutilation within Islam. They said it was "professional misconduct". I look forward to them justifying their stance in court (the Employment Tribunal). Note: they have a Royal Charter and claim to have acted "in the public interest". I think the majority of the public would agree with me that their behaviour was the opposite of the public interest. Their Royal Charter should be revoked.

You should check out the Pakistani taxi driver bounty hunters. They hunt down Muslim women who have got to refuges. They they get other Muslim women to infiltrate the refuge and beat the women until they agree to go home.

Protection of belief legislation was written in an environment of homologous religion and values. Address the problem at the root cause - revisit and rewrite that legislation to remove protections for harmful ideologies and belief systems.

Well said Rebecca. It must be remembered that many of the problems are not directly a result of religion but of tradition and cultural practices. Not all cultures are worthy of respect and women and girls must be protected. They often have no voice in these matters.

Agree with all of this, & would hope that ensuring all Islamic marriages are backed up by legal protections, will also put an end to the practice of Muslim men keeping multiple wives & those wives being supplied with homes/benefits by the State. They must adhere to UK laws.
