No punches pulled by Harry Cobden this morning when talking about Regent’s Stroll: "He's probably the only horse in the yard with star potential going forward!" I’m not sure Paul Nicholls or his owners will be too happy about that comment! 👀

This comes after these comments yesterday too 👇🏼 He expected to ride Sans Bruit for Paul yesterday but was left “disappointed” when Bryony took the ride instead. He then ironically won the race (Sans Bruit was pulled up) aboard spare ride - Soul Icon!

Who gives a fuck if they’re not happy, no point in beating around the bush and pretending that you have horses with top class potential if you don’t.

Whilst I appreciate the honesty, ultimately Paul is his boss and without the owners, he has no horses to ride. Fine line between being open/honest and biting the hands that are feeding you etc. It's not like he was pressed into a corner either, he came out with it willingly.

If it’s true, there’s nothing wrong with that… if anything it’s exactly what the sport needs It’s almost as if everyone has to be offended by everything now a days 🤣

There is plenty of truth that could be said in sports, it's just whether it's better for behind closed doors or the cameras. Obviously for the public, it's great. For Nicholls, the team at home and the owners, not so much! There have also been other comments recently.

The pumpkins horses are running terrible at the moment.,his winner in last was in the most desperate race of the whole day. Threw Lorcan Williams under the bus the other day so it’s only a matter of time before Cobden goes the same way

He’s not really telling us anything we don’t already know, most of Paul’s are not even competitive at the moment.

I don't disagree Johnny, it looks like a long season ahead for Paul. It's more the fact he's just publicly throwing the stable under the bus.

It’s poorly edited by at the races this ….he was just talking about hurdlers aparantly But even so …1 out of probably 60 on expensive hurdles is not great

It may well be poorly edited but at the same time, he still offered that up with no real prompt to. A couple of comments recently which could be seen as digs at Nicholls. Be interesting to see if anything comes of it.
