I have not allowed shoes in our house for many years now for these exact reasons..Cant believe people cant figure that out..No way I want all that nasty bacteria on my floors and carpets.

Shoes off at the door is a rule in my home, no exceptions, guests included. Always has been, always will be. Shoes in the house is beyond disgusting!

What you bring inside gets into your bed as well.

I’m confused, if you have pets is it not the same thing? Also children with indoor/outdoor pets have better immune systems. I prefer shoes of just cause I don’t want to clean but not because I’m preventing “germs”

In Canada we take our shoes off. There has been the odd person that has kept theirs on after watching me take mine off in MY HOUSE
