This is a coach whose team survived multiple elimination games at the Sun Belt tournament, played at all hours and even multiple locations last week, winding up in the championship game. And when offered a chance to deflect the lopsided score with the drain his team might have faced having only a short while after gutting out a win over 2-seed Cincinnati 8-6, he said his team wasn't tired, though. They just ran out of pitching. And, his analogy that "they were going to have to kill us, and they did" was a tip of the cap to his opponent, whom he deemed worthy of a long run in Omaha.
