Ino, Ten Ten, Sasuke, Neji, AND Gaara are all mad obvious that they're cheating. Ino passes out after doing a very clear hand sign, we can easily see Ten Ten's mirrors on the ceiling being moved. And Gaara literally makes a sand eyeball that moves to the desk of another student!

The funniest part of this is any time they show the questions it's like regular ass 6th grade questions. They could just answer them. I get they were briefed that they were supposed to cheat but not get caught, but seems excessive.

Team Guy knew what room the test was going to be in and even dispelled the genjutsu that was cast on the wrong floor. It wouldn’t be too far fetched to say they broke into the building the night before and set up the mirror. That level of info gathering is what kept them in.
